Don't usually post too many euro pics....but this one is nuts! Glad to get it out of the shop as everyone wants to know where it's from and my lips are sealed. It is a Washington mule deer, mounted up a barn board cut from the owner's family homesteaded house which is no longer being lived in but added some great heritage to this project. Pics are decent but this thing is so much bigger in person. Palmated, mass, and a skull with some of the most calcifications I have seen on a mule deer skull showing the age of this incredible buck. Took extra-long in the degreasing tank to get it fully rid of grease before whitening. Congrats to the owner and thank you for the work.

Oh my, nice job. How big are those bases?
Just under 8" bases

Did they send a tooth in to get aged? Or were there any left?

Amazing.
I'd love to know how old he was.

Man that thing looks old. Thank you very much for sharing, I'll think about this one and remember it alot longer than most of the monster bucks I see taxidermied. Very very cool deer.
