Title: English Pit Range Vancouver
Post by: pianoman9701 on September 15, 2022, 11:57:06 AM
Hey gang, just making sure all of you SW WA folks know there's a range here on 192nd. Ave. I'm one of the weekend RSO's. There are 50 and 100 yd centerfire, 50 yard rimfire, and 25 to 50 ft pistol range. C'mon down and blow some money away downrange!

The English pit has been a very convenient place to go for decades. Is Randy still managing it? I have not been down there in a couple years but it has always been a very safe place to shoot from what I've seen and heard.

Michael is managing and the range is even safer now. Chains to indicate cold or hot range, and flags at each station for your open action. Removing firearms from cases is done on the shooting bench, making sure the firearm is pointed downrange before it comes out of the case. The RSOs are required to carry.

I love working there. The professionalism is top notch. I've taken to running up and down that hill and it's helping condition.

Great info John. Its been a while since I've been over there. I used to go early Friday mornings and would practically have the place to myself.  Is that still the case?  I may need to head over and make sure my muzzley is dialed in before season.

Yeah weekday mornings are usually quiet but over the next few weeks there are blocked days. If you go here: https://englishpit.com/index.shtml  you can scroll to the bottom and see if the range is reserved for LEOs, security, or someone else.
