Kids have had a great Othello Fair! They opened the week with both kids lambs earning call backs in FFA market. Today, My daughter received a call back in Fit & Show, and is the 2022 Othello Fair FFA II (Junior/Senior) Fit & Show Grand Champion!! So proud of her!!

Congratulations 🎊🎉
Not an easy feat, I showed in FFA.

Awesome accomplishment!
So cool.

Thats awesome. Spent 25 years in the 4H program between our kids and my wife being a leader. My son finally got grand champion fitting and showing his last year of showing. I always felt the Fitting and showing champion carried more prestige than the market grand champion.

Congratulations young lady!

I totally agree Sr15! Fit & Show is the premiere event!!
Round Robin is Friday at noon...Looking forward to watching! She got her foot smashed this evening practicing with a steer, but she is tough and will limp through the contest...
Thanks everyone for the kind words!

Congrats! At our local fair in Yakima my youngest daughter was grand champion market goat, grand champion breeding goat, reserve grand breeding goat. My oldest was reserve junior champ fitting and showing. At the grandview fair the oldest was grand champion market goat, grand champion breeding goat, grand champion junior fitting and showing, and the youngest was reserve grand breeding goat! Great job parents for getting the kids involved in the ag industry!

That’s pretty awesome! When I showed FFA (dairy) the fitting & showing was the “Big” prize. I remember there was this one girl out of Starwood that nobody could ever beat. We all just had to wait her out until she got too old to show to give the rest of us a chance. That was back when the dairy was still numerous and popular in western Washington so there were a lot of us. Round Robins where fun if you ever get to that point.

Forgot to update...Round Robin went well, though she did not win. The dairy heifer she showed stopped and laid down while walking in a circle...LOL, and her hog just burned hooves all over the arena. Great experience.

Very cool!!!
