Title: McNary Results 2022
Post by: gallion_t on September 15, 2022, 11:35:47 PM
Results came out earlier this week. How did everyone do?  Personally I only got one 23 pick on January 29th.

Daughter got #15 for  the youth day.

I pulled #15 on Dec 10th and I have a 2nd deer tag for desert unit that opens the same day I might now buy and make a weekend out of it.

Son got #2 Oct. 15th

Got 25th pick one day in January. Isn’t that last? Better than none!

Are you only getting one pick for the entire year these days?  I remember getting 3 or so if I remember right but that was quite a few years ago....

The email stated there is substantially more applicants than in the past. And that sone people will not get a draw.

To Big6Bulls point they stated it went from 639 applicants in 2019 to 1,289 this year for McNary.  Basically you're lucky getting drawn at all.  I do remember in the past getting 2 to 3 draws and typically at least one was pretty high.  Think those days may be over?

I won't be there October 26th with number 17. So there's that. I will be there for the vet hunt on the 11th though

My wife is the veteran hunter in the family and drew #1 for the veteran day hunt. I havent hunted Mcnary in years she decided to put in for it.  Any advice for the primo blind pick?  Weather coming in makes it look like it may not matter too much.

Just look at the last years kill spreadsheets and pick the blinds that produced the most for your dates.   There should be a few options.   I think 6,8,17, 21….

Absolutely no clue what you all are talking about, so I guess I was no competition.

I've only hunted it a couple times, but when you get there in the morning they'll have a chart of hw many birds were taken at each blind over the last hunt or two. That should give you a good idea of where the ducks have been going recently.

Congrats on a great draw! I'm jealous.

I'd recommend checking out Blind9 if you want to do some escouting https://blind9.com/

Really good site for picking your blind.

Gallion_t is correct just look at recent results they post them at the HQ.  Conditions can change so I would go off of recent activity.  Or get there in daylight day before and make sure.
