Title: A pretty good day
Post by: buckmaster_wa on May 19, 2009, 05:41:03 PM
It was a good day. I found three bull sheds. My buddy found one 3pt buck shed, a 3x4 deer skull (Which he had to leave behind) and a 9" Billy goat skull (Which he really had to leave behind). All the elk sheds were last years but were in good shape.

The first one is an ATL photo.

The date on the camera was a month off. It was actually yesterday that I went and boy did it get hot out there.

Every year when I go into this area I see a lot of cat tracks. This year was no exception. There were tracks all over the hill. I also found One dead bull on the hill last month when I was in there and another dead bull when I was in there on this trip. So that is a total of 2 winterkill elk, One winter kill deer and one winter kill Goat that was found on that hill this spring.

either that, or someone on this site is going to recognize that distinctive rack, and we'll see a post that looks like this:

My buddy found it and he was acrossed a really nasty canyon from me. I looked at it through the binos. He said it was a 9-10 inch billy, but he didnt have a camera on him so there for there are no pics. Sorry. :(
