If you have been out and had some success, post the details. I know different sounds work better depending on time of year, which side of the state, and species.
Maybe getting this info out can speed the learning curve for some of us?
Location: (general, spefic gmu, east side whatever you want to share)
Timing: (month or date, am, mid-day, pm, night)
Call: (foxpro, mouthcall, etc. and what sounds were used)
Duration: (time on stand)
Perhaps there's already a thread on this topic but I was thinking on ways to get more of us out there after these critters thats more than just success photos.
Anyway just a thought.

Only time I have called in a predator was a bear during archery season. Thought I heard another hunter coming down a known trail and I did a few calf calls. Few minutes later a bear was coming in on a string to my location.

ICOtech night stalker, 30-45 call sets (probably should have gone at least an hour)
Tried fawn distress, elk calf, and jackrabbit in distress. No takers.

Duration: ~50 min
Had a bear come in after about 35 minutes as I was really ramping up the emotion in the call.

Stay positive, conceal your approach.
We're just getting out of a cool time when the pups are on their own and seem to pack up with other juvenile delinquents. You can get mature dogs who will run you over with challenge barks and ki-yis this time of year. It's the old man telling those kids to get off his yard. It can be a LOT of fun.
in 60 days, you'll have those same young dogs shy some from vocals when the dominant pair have laid claim to a future denning site.
All in all, this is a long winded tagging :)

Location: For coyotes mainly the East side, west side is too thick but does have more cats.
Timing: I hunt for pelts, so November til about the middle of February. December being the best month. I will call from sunrise to sunset. I use to call at night but during those months it gets damn cold and I'm getting too old!
Call: Both mouth calls and electronics. currently I'm using a Fox Pro Shockwave.
Duration: I've called them in at 10 seconds and I've had them come in at hour. It all depends upon the situation. But usually 20-25 minutes, if I don't see or hear anything by then I move on.
Other considerations
Wind Direction: I try to call in a cross wind and ideally I want to be able to see a couple hundred yards downwind of my call.
Stand placement: Do not silhouette yourself. I like to sit in front of some sage and on some higher ground.
Shooting sticks: A must! I like to have my rifle on the shooting sticks and ready to shoot. Does not have to be on my shoulder but I don't want a whole lot of movement when I am ready to shoot.
When a coyote comes in they will target where the sound is exactly! Hense putting the e-caller away from you and in way that the in coming coyote will not smell you.
Again ... WIND DIRECTION! Coyotes 99.99% of time will come from the downwind side. You can not fool their nose but you can use the wind direction to your advantage.
