Another post on here had me thinking about all the bears captured on trail camera. This state has a few big one's running around. What we don't have in the shear number of fatties....we make up for in color phase. Let see what you all have on camera....dead or alive.
I'll start with a couple fatties.
Pic #1 is a spring bear.....still pretty large for a spring bear.
Pic #2 is a spring pic as well. Big boar and a sow. I will add another picture with a frontal of the same bears to show how big the sow is to compare the boar to.
For spring pics....they sure are porkers. Probably put on another 50 lbs in fat by fall.
-
Couple more pics of the love birds to give better size comparison.
-
Another spring fatty and one we call walrus.
-
Couple color phase....
-
More...I love the red color on the second pic.

Great bear photos looks like the same area of all your cat photos JR?

I run 12-15 trail cams year round. The amount of bear, cougar, wolf, coyotes I get is unreal. A lot of the bear and cat pics overlap in the same areas. The wolf not so much.
It’s amazing I get any deer and elk pics with this many predators. In the same areas. Most my cams are in the NE corner but I do have some in central and north central WA.

A couple of those bears are WHOPPERS.
-
Those are some nice critters.
-
Just over the mountain to the north of Jrebel. I used to run 10+ trail cams in the area and have a huge amount of bear pics. The red bear would come in to my friends house I had listed for sale.Always went to the bird feeder.Butch called the bear Rudy.
-
I had to go back a few years for this one.

Big ole bear on my elk cameras (video file attached above the photo). Think I found his tracks too during muzzy season.

I'm thinking this guy is going to push the 400 mark...... :yike:
-
These guys like to have climbing competitions :chuckle:
-
Some bears taking a bath in the same trough as the cougar was drinking in the cat camera thread, wish I had it on video mode. They would splash around and play while they were in it.
-
They do love bathing in the water troughs.
-
Wish I would’ve kept the hide off this guy, had a nice white patch on the chest.

Couple of my spring bears were good sized, pics don’t really show the bodies though. Love the colors in the blues.
