When I lived in Montana, a bud that drew a Grizz permit. They were there for two weeks before the two day hunt. Same HUGE bear showed up in the same spot for nearly every day of the two days. Never gone for more than one day. Two days of the hunt? Nope. They went back the next day when it was closed, and yup, it was back.

Post by: RB on October 27, 2022, 04:08:58 PM: Middle of west side Elk season, watched a nice big bodied three point Blacktail walk right through the middle of a clear cut, middle of the day, sniffing the ground like a dog. He stopped, looked at us, then dropped his head and kept sniffing and cruising through the unit looking for a hot Doe.

The funny part is the elk herds knew we were there but didn't care.....go to that spot during elk season and you won't see or hear any elk (have tried multiple times).
