I am going to post a great picture of a 200" ram here on Monday or Tuesday. Why not post it now? I haven't taken it yet. I am leaving today to my annual rut photo grounds to take huge ram pictures. Have I seen this ram before? Yeah, I've followed his progress for the last 10+ years. Now the pressure is on, can I get something good. Will I even find him? We shall see...
-
Where are you going to film a 200 ram?
And the better question is, how come I'm not going with you?
LOL
-
my bet is the yakima canyon......how close am i?
-
is this the one your looking for?

i can't wait to see the 200" ram.

Wow. You guys are really going to like this ram. Believe it or not, I expected bigger... Wanna see?
-
yes, yes, yes!!!
-
I took about a 1000 pictures today. It's taking a while to upload them to the computer... Tick tock, tick tock...
-
Maybe not the best angle to accentuate his length. He is long, comes up way past the nose. He was fun to shoot.

-
Here is another interesting ram. He is long with his lamb tips still on, he must not like to fight...

-
Cool Pics. I don't think I have ever seen a ram with that length and size that wasn't chunked up or back from fighting. That ought to put Ramslam into shock when he gets out his tape measure.
-
I got some huge broomed off rams also...but you'll have to wait until tonight or so...
-
Sounds good, I'm, sure it will be worth the wait. Thanks for taking the time to downsize them babies as well, it makes us dial-up users VERY happy.
-
Ok, I had time for one more this morning of the big ram.

-
I take it these guys aren't hunted too hard as any governors tag in the world would be after him. That ram is incredible.
-
That is truly an incredible ram. Thank you!
-
I am drooling! Man a big boy like without being broomed, either he is the only stud in town or backs away from the fights... I know where he'd look good... Hee Hee...
-
Those are truely some monster rams, great pics.
-
Wow....that's about as close to 200" as your gonna get! Incredible!
-
Holy Smokes!!
-
It's cold, it's snowing, and the rut is on!

There are two important things in this world to a bighorn ram...grass and women.

Sorry I'm ignoring the deer post, I just love rams.
Here is a couple lip curling, broken horned, nasty gaggers.

-
Really cool pics! You gotta be a fan of the old Mountain Dew commercial huh? If you hadnt seen it, its funny as hell, a guy going head to head with a big ol nasty ram.
-
and to think you quite this to become a lawyer. :chuckle:
-
incredible pictures..keep them coming
-
That's incredible.. I have seen alot chukar hunting, and a couple doozies.. but holy moly that's nice.
-
Every time I look at the picture, it amazes me how big he is. Believe it or not I think I've seen bigger... So, I think I lived up to my goal of a 200" ram for this topic...however, I did not see a 200" mule deer as I had thought. It was a down year for mule deer where I shoot. I'm trying to find some time to go back but gas prices and a partner are lacking... Oh well, next year maybe.

I know this is an older post but I wanted to bring attention to the newest addition of Eastmans Hunting Journal and the cover shot. It was shot by Tony Bynum and is one of the most amazing ram shots I've ever seen. Tony and I shot this ram back in November. It's the same ram in a couple of the shots I posted on this thread. Of course Tony's shot of this ram turned out spectacular.
If you would like to see other shots from Tony I know he is starting a Smugmug site where you may be able to purchase this shot. I am thinking of getting him to send me a 11x17 or something and framing it for my office. I haven't asked him if he is able to sell this shot because of the cover but he has many spectacular shots you can see at these websites. Congrats Tony!

Great photos.

When did the new Eastmans come out? I haven't got mine yet?
-
Those with subscriptions have been getting it in the last couple days. I have yet to find it in the stores but I think it's coming out this week... Jump on it before they all sell out.
-
Good I've been checking the mail alot lately knowing it should be showing up any day, glad to hear its starting to arrive.
-
He is a worldclass photographer. Good stuff Pope. I looked for that fairchase mag yesterday, but couldn't find either copy. I'm afraid my wife has been cleaning again.........I'll keep looking....I have a couple more piles.
-
-
A couple of the bucks at least one in particular look very familiar to me. You must get to go with him while he shoots. That would be fun.
-
I got the magazine a week or so ago.
-
I think Tony has offered to take people out shooting with him on MM before. He's a real down to earth guy and you can learn a lot from him by just shooting next to him. If you ever get over to the Glacier Park area with a camera I would suggest shooting him a message. I can say that I've known or met quite a few outdoor photographers over the years. Most of them work alone for a reason...they aren't very personable. Some can be downright rude and most have a large ego. Tony is one of the few exceptions to that rule.
-
Nice work.
-
I received The Eastmans Mag today in the mail!!! WOW what a shot!!! That guy needs an Orthodontist!!!.........lol
-
That is amazing, ive seen some pretty big rams in the yakima valley, but none like that!
