Always look bigger from behind right? lol I only had 45 minutes of light left. He was with 17 does and a 3/4 of a mile hike to get to him. I figured there was no way I could beat that many eyes and ears. i chose to go after him in the morning.
I did and he was gone.

WOW! I am guessing he looks giant from any side! What a beast!
-
Oh wow!! Look at that guy!!
-
Anyone note that extra point coming off the main beam?
-
Just incredible
-
Wow, Hopefully you can catch up to him again.
-
Maybe next year, I have pulled the plug on this years adventure. Time to pay the piper.
-

:yeah: That thing is unreal! I'd love to see another view of that right side

Dear Sweet 8lb, 6oz Baby Jesus... :yike:
-
They do always look bigger from behind but damn that is a pig!!!
-
I’d have any tagged him. I don’t do the Texas heart shot thing, but I tell you what, if he any angled me out to 500, with tag in hand, BANG.
-
From that angle the antlers look bigger than any I've ever seen. Simply incredible
-
I started trying to get a different angle for you. He went out to about 500 and frolicked around. Pretty blurry and far away. Then I fell asleep. Lol.
-
Quit thinking like a photographer, blurry pics are better than no pics! :chuckle:

:yeah: We just need a bank surveillance quality photo of him looking at us broadside or straight on to get a feel for his massiveness! :dunno:
-
Alright I’ll see what I can do.

Is it coming off the main beam between the g1 and g2? That’s super unique can’t think of another deer I’ve ever seen that on
-
If it was what kept him out of Boone, would you break it off? :chuckle:

First doe that I've ever seen with horns growing out of her arse.

I don't care what his score is, just how beautiful he is to me! That guy is amazing! Thank you sir!

Haaa! I think only someone like you could fall asleep watching a monster like that!!

:chuckle: No, no, I meant I fell asleep while looking at photos trying to get a different angle for you posted. I assure you, not even I would fall asleep watching this beast.
Again, sorry for the poor photos. 500 yards out, lots of mirage. He had 17 ladies with him if I recall correctly. I'm sure there will be some genes of this guy out there for future generations.

My guess is he has broke off a point or two, but bottom line, pretty good set of antlers
-
Man Bone, i sure have been enjoying your pictures this year!
How many days do you spend out in the field taking pictures? I would love to sit around a campfire and listen to some of your stories and experiences from the past!
-
Thank you Sneaky! This year I had 14 days off over 3 weeks. I made use of 13 of them. In the old days I’d take almost a month off, but probably still only film about 20 days. I need to do more campfire sitting. That sounds nice.

Boneaddict: The only Huntwa Member that apologizes for pictures that most of us would have framed... :chuckle:
Thanks for posting more pics of him as the rest of us daydream about meeting him one day
-
Ha haaaa thanks for the other angles! What a great specimen.

:yeah: thank you Bone for listening to your fans and posting your "lesser quality" photos :chuckle: What an incredible animal! And thanks for always sharing your photos with us, you've earned some extra campfire sitting time for sure
