-
Otc , yup. Permit, nope!
-
For me..... any tag I had in Washington state. That buck would fall
-
It’s stated archery! Full send. BBD
-
Absolutely yes in WA.
Great PIC!!!
-
Send it

How big does a buck have to be to shoot one here in Washington with a special permit in hand?
-
Anyone who doesn’t shoot that buck in the swakane late archery season is drunk.
-
Anyone who says "no" has not hunted the late Swakane in the last 20 years. That is a 2%...maybe 1% buck right there and if you don't shoot it, your likely going home empty handed. You can hunt that unit hard for the entire season and you will be lucky to find one bigger. Are they big boys there....yes, but not as many as there used to be.

At 55, moving right to left to a doe at 40, will cross open slot broadside at 30. Wind in face will like be facing away at the doe.

We saw a buck like that in there last year but he was a 3x4 and there was about 5 different guys trying to kill him. We saw him in the first 30 minutes. Total fluke to see him.

Based on Bone’s last couple posts it looks like TH is holding out for a book typical when he draws :chuckle:
-
3x4, the Central Washington curse. Straight up 4x4s are fairly hard to come by
-
That's probably a 180" buck depending on spread and if he's symmetrical. I don't know how someone wouldn't shoot him given the chance. I have a couple buddies who have drawn dream tags and ended up empty handed cuz they were being too picky. Seems like a huge waste of your time and points and effort to me... :dunno:

I’m in photo safari mode if anything. I was thinking about around the Klick this weekend. Something about a mossy bench leg. I am pretty sure the Mrs has other plans for me though.

Dream situation!

Very true. If they do make a 4 they usually have weak fronts around here. As always there are exceptions to the rule.....
-
No question! Send it!!!
-
I think I classed him as a 160s buck. Extremely symmetrical. A lot going through my mind other than score when I am filming. Probably 25 to 26 wide. Quick score 70 inch sides with a 20 plus inside.
-
Archery yes.!!
I have already seen 2 that are bigger and couldn’t get closer that 120 yards. Archery is already tough enough

Stay with them and bed them. Those bucks are tired. When they bed I've had them get bumped and bed again in less than 75 yards. I shot one in his bed years ago in the snow. He never even turned his head.
-
The buck today smelled me. Turned around and left
-
Definitely yay!!
-
Definitely a nice buck, but if ever there was a time to hold out for a P & Y buck this might be the year, this heavy, early snow has sure moved them down. If you have means to access, you might just get something dreams are made of...
-
I do agree with you on that. All the cards are on the table. Kinda sad really that this is all there is but if you have a tag in your pocket still, this is your true shot.
-
Definitely yay!!
:yeah: x2
