Saw this on another forum.
Speculation its the Washington Governors tag bull that just got harvested. Any of you know anymore info you can share?
Looks like a 9x11! Incredible bull. Congrats to the hunter. Whoever they are, they earned it!
-
Geez, a 3-point brow tine just for starters.
Never seen that before.
STUD bull for sure.
Congrats to the hunters.
-
The auction tag bull was taken in September. So would have to be a raffle tag.

Need different pics to see 460. Seems like it’s there though.

They could name him “Gross”. Quite a bull.

Other pics make him look more huge and gross-y.

The pic of packing him out on snow shoes on his back in the fog shows just how big this bull is

He must have lived over a half mile off of the road. ;)
-
Ah yes, The Gross Jerky Bull... There's a reason why they didn't shoot him. He's all bone!
-
All joking aside this bull has been on a lot of guys hit list( be curious how many thousand of dollars spent on governor tags and raffle just to hunt him . But as said earlier in the wenaha sheep threads you better have your ducks in a row and be mentally prepared for busting your ass. There’s a reason this bull got as big as he did the weekend warrior couldn’t get to him. Good job guys you earned it

It's actually pretty amazing bulls like that exist outside of Yellowstone. Wowser.
I remember thinking about how there must have been huge bulls everywhere back in the day and then I saw what Lewis and Clark sent back to Jefferson to hang on his wall at Monticello - a raghorn just like on my wall.
A bull like that has bucked odds like nobody could believe between cars, dogs, cats, bullets, infections, disease, starvation, exposure,....
-
For the non facebook insta guys, where's these snowshoe pack out and other pics. Or where's the links to the pics

So true. Not to mention spotters in planes, 1000 yard rifles, tags that allow hunting into December, and on and on and on. Amazing animal.

460 gross from reliable source. Hopefully the full story comes out but this bull was beyond well deserved. Hunter is from Eastern oregon and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Him and his brothers get after it Hunting and shed hunting. Them and a couple other shed crazy locals camp out on this bull every spring. I believe this last year the hunter and his brothers ended up with both sheds off this bull. The three brothers all chipped in on the raffle this year and one of them drew it. I know they put in a TON of time only hunting this bull. They passed up some giants (360-370) along the way. Some people, including the local guide who had some of his sheds suspected he might not be alive anymore. Well here he is. Unreal!

Haven’t seen any posted on social media anywhere and I guess they killed him on Tuesday. I got pics from a Blues local and don’t have the ok to post them so I’ll respect that.

This one was posted on another forum! :o

Congrats to the SE Raffle guys on killing an old giant warrior of a bull, sadly maybe the last of his kind from the Blues.. Yes he was on the hit list of every gov tag and raffle guy the last several years but it took some hard core dudes and will power to hold out for a specific bull to finally put him down and I congratulate them.! Gov tag was punched on a 417 typical back in September knowing this bull likely was alive but who's going to pass a giant typical :dunno: Two giant Washington bulls killed this year and still two weeks to go with a few raffle tags out there..

That would be a great story! All the stars lined up for some hard working Joe lunchbox guys!
-
Monster bull, make room for that mount
-
Wow….
-
This bull is tremendous! I had heard tale of this bull from riders and my wife's family along with a few other big boys but who knows what fell to the natives and what has never been posted. As nwhunter stated, this could be the last big bull seen in the Blues for a long while. Unless some serious changes take place. Great job on the hunters for sticking with it and getting it done! Like I said on another thread, I had a couple buddies who drew a Watershed tag and they gave up the day after it snowed a few feet. I don't know what to say about that honestly. Perseverance is everything! These guys just proved that!

Hunting that country, in these conditions is no joke. Hard-core for sure! Congrats to the max.
-
No doubt.
Mission accomplished!!!!!!!!!
-
Wow. Would love to read the story on this guy, including the background. Can't imagine the work and prepwork that went into finding him and eventually, putting him in the freezer. Gives me hope that big guys like this still exist.
-
Outstanding! Hope to hear the whole story
-
They do still exist. There will be multiple 400" jerky bulls killed this winter. unfortunately.

What a dream bull. Most of us would be stoked to harvest a bulk 100" plus smaller. :chuckle:
-
amazing bull
-
Once in a hundred life times bull. So much extra calcium in his blood he had to grow extra points on his G1! Those "extra" G4's make that load super wide. How would he get through the thick stuff? The neck meat and backstraps have to be enough to feed both their families for a month.
-
More info plz.. my dad just raves about big blu mtn bulls.
