Got this deer yesterday, Only a 2pt, but it is 16" wide, and has 8" bases, pretty heavy for a 2pt,  but its good enough for me.

Awesome looking deer.  Very characteristic of a recessed buck.

Man the deer this year seem to have really been healthy, and large!

Nice buck! Are you getting him mounted? Did you save the cape. I need a cape for a heavy blacktail like that.

The main part of the story is, I was at the right spot at the right time is guess.  Sometimes being lucky is as good as being good. The deer only went about 40 yards after I shot Him.  It was so brushy it took me 45 min to find him.  I can tell you after that much time looking its a great feeling when you finally find it.  I am going to mount it, its pretty unique.
