A rancher I know called me and said hes got a cancer cow that needed to be put down. I had him put it out on this flat, perfect approach point, great view point 140 yards away and wind direction. I sat 7 hours the first night and 11 the next. People think baiting is easy..it’s not, wind chill was in the single digits both nights. Coyots can hear so well and sit to listen for long periods of time. They will also circle the bait site to see if there’s any other coyotes in the area. I was busted numerous times. Ended up getting 11 for both nights. Video link below

You looking for an old man to adopt? That was awesome.
-
That's what you call a body count.

Always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing

Another great one, thanks for posting. Just curious, what are you shooting?

One of the things I miss from when I was a kid and my grandfather raised cows. Usually once a winter there would be one that didn't make it. Many hours spent huddled in the cold waiting for them to come in.... (that is the only thing I missed though.... My grandfather always told me that the only thing that was dumber than a cow was the guy who tried to make money raising them) Great video!
I am with Pianoman - do you adopt? I am pretty low maintenance... :chuckle:
I see this scope has a built in rangefinder. What did you do for rangefinding at night without a built in rangefinder?
-
Don’t know how you can hold so steady in those low temps. Brrrr. Good shooting.

AR15 .223, 60grain VMaxs, I wasn’t very happy with some of my shooting, I strive to drop um instantly

Thanks for posting, love your videos. They look much smaller in the scope than real life.
-
Awesome. Way to put the hurtin on them. Putting them down pretty good. Love seeing the success.

Nice shooting. 👍

Looks like a great setup you have there. Thanks for sharing

Great video! I notice you zoom all the way out right after the shot, even if the yote drops, are you checking for other ones that run at the shot?

Yes, and see if they get up and run off. Also for the footage too

How long do you wait before setting up on a dead critter, do they generally show the first night or does it take a few days before they find it?

Really depends on the location, bait, coyot density. Lots of variables

What did you do for rangefinding at night without a built in rangefinder?
I’ve got a built in rangefinder on my scope, it’s just the way I edit some of my videos, it makes it fill the whole screen and which removes the edges

Um... coyotes!

Wise guy.

Have you used thermal scopes without the range-finding built in? Trying to decide which thermal unit to get but most with range-finding capability are out of my price range. There are a few on my list but only one has a built in rangefinder and I would have to sacrifice resolution for the rangefinder.... A couple in my range have stadiametric rangefinders but not sure how that works with the digital zoom? It seems like the built in rangefinder is a pretty big issue since you would have to spotlight with a rangefinder or guess? Thanks for the help

The only good built in laser rangefinders on the market are from NVision Optics and Pulsar. Static rangefinders are a joke. You lose all depth perception with thermal. If your gonna be a serious predator save your $, you get what you pay for. If you wanna talk more give me a call. I sell everything on the market
