Thinking of making one last trip over to get one last hunt in for some birds before end of season this weekend. How much snow is on the ground around Moses lake? Anyone have much luck this late in the season?

I’m in Yakima and there’s hardly any left so I’m sure there ain’t much in Moses. We were able to scratch up one rooster last Sunday here but he was definitely a late season runner! Might try to sneak one more hunt in this weekend! Was pretty icy last weekend and cut my dog up pretty bad so we only did one day.

Gonna let the ducks rest for the weekend and chase chukar and huns. Special hunt for the dog it is. The Panz is coming up on his lifetime retrieve #2k and a nice chukar or hun would only be so perfect for this great pointer. Wish us luck!

Enjoy.

We still have a little snow around. Might be pretty much gone after rain all night. It is pretty swampy, park wisely!! Good luck if you make it over.

The more west of Moses you go, the more snow is on the ground. I was in the Palouse Mon/Tues, basically no snow. Tough sledding weather Monday. Tuesday saw a ton of birds. All wild fliers. Gives hope for next year.

Rain ice and mud. Hard to get excited about getting out

I'm heading to the Moses Lake area, also, and maybe the Selah area.
But chukar runs through Jan. 31st, correct?
