I have a 2005 Ram that I am thinking about having painted. It has a few small dings, but nothing major. I will have it painted the same stock color.
I am located in SW Washington. Does anyone have any guesses as to what this may cost, or recommendations for a shop to have it done at?
Thanks

Last time I checked cab only $10,000, and they said if we have time.
So many insurance claims that are small and profitable they don’t really care about out of pocket big jobs.
That’s why I Raptor Lined my cab myself, way cheaper and durable for what I use my truck for.

My truck got rear ended. I asked about getting it painted while it was there. $8000. Ill drive it the way it is.

Whatever happened to the Earl Scheib $299 paint jobs ? ( Did they even wash em first ? )

Maaco quoted me $1600 bare minimum, and that's for one color only (On a two-tone F-250 extended cab long bed) before tax two years ago. Have had several rigs painted there previously. Usually ponied up for better paint and extra clear. Add ++++ for door jambs, firewall, under hood, sides of tailgate, inside of bed, etc. And they always tack on some prep/bodywork time. I said I'll just have to be proud of the dents and scars. The clearcoat is coming off the hood, so I asked about just doing that or possibly cab only. Was told that that means the rest of the clear is bound to be just as bad, and they only wanted to paint the whole thing or none. Manager also mentioned easily upbilled $$ in insurance work, and their Amazon fleet account gives them plenty of similarly unscrupulous simoleans. Looked around at local Everett/Edmonds bodyshops I trust and have history with, and they were all North of 3k, and didn't want the job. May be able to find a better deal down in SW Wa, or even South of the Big C. I have had a $3500 body shop paint job before, and was more impressed with Maaco.

Do prep work yourself , nobody paints more cars than macco period , one in Puyallup has done about 50cars or so for me when I was buying and selling , lots of personal stuff as well . Go in talk to them do be afraid to dicker and go over everything , price from Tacoma shop to Puyallup shop was always different so I am sure the ones down south are same deal if it’s a truck that’s not a show truck or your not gonna have the rest of your life and you plan on taking it too the woods it’s the way too go

What are you looking for as an end result? Like new quality or a 50/50 (good from 50 feet at 50 mph) type job?
youll get what you pay for...
anything less than 5k is going to likely be the later.
for a REAL body shop to do it, the prep, etc, 10K.
for those that say do the prep yourself, a good painter doesn't want YOU to do the prep work yourself.
also, it really depends on your expectations i guess...some people are FAR pickier about finish work than others.

I believe it was $19.99 and you had red, white or blue. The old man had 1960 Comet wagon painted red. While he was napping my older brother and I dressed her up like a race-car with all garage stickers we had collected. He beat us on the spot and told us that we better get them off. When he saw the damage we did peeling them off he beat us again. Poor old man did not have another $20 to fix it.

Have it vinyl wrapped...
:dunno:

I’m sure it will be speedy but when the trucks at my work get wrecked we take them to Behrends body shop in kelso. They are nice people and do good work. I see you’re in woodland so it’s pretty close.

I've been hit in parking lots now 3 times. Each time, Brady's Auto Body in Vancouver blended the paint perfectly. You might check with them on what it would cost. A whole new paint job may not be necessary. https://bradysautobody.com/
