Can anybody tell me what happened to Fierce? Their customer service is right up there at the top of the worst I have ever seen! My son bought a Edge in the summer of 2021 and after one day of bear hunting there were at least a dozen paint chips. By the end of rifle deer in October there was paint rubbed off everywhere. Looks like a he used it to hit rocks! We called them that next summer and they told us there was a bad batch of paint/primer on batch of stocks and for us to send it back and they would make it right. It was getting to close to a bear hunt to risk not getting it back so they said after season ship it. It took 3 weeks, yes 3 weeks for someone to answer. They assured my kid that they would correct it. After they received it they called and said the wear was his fault and would not fix it unless we paid $150. I said no because this is on Fierce to stand by their name. Besides, they wouldn't guarantee that the paint would hold up (implying that it was still his fault). Anyone who knows these rifles knows they are not cheap. We got it back and the more we examined it, the more chips we found, I lost count around 40. Fierce sucks. I will never buy another rifle from them. Why the hell can't people answer their phones anymore?

Buy a Tikka.....

Flat Brimmers
-
Firbearer365 That's no joke. I'm in the neighborhood for a new rifle and after seeing how well they perform I'm all in. Great rifle at a great price.
-
So… you bought something online
From a company who’s owner likely has PTSD, based on name only
And your surprised?

I had a problem with a Savage stock....Called them....they picked up the phone...less than a week later brand new stock in my hands. No questions ask. I love Savage's customer service.
-
jeffro Please explain... Why would you assume I bought "something" on line? And please do clarify if you can how many of this has anything to do with PTSD.
-
I'm assuming the fierce action is cloned after a rem 700. Can you find a replacement stock for that rifle to keep it running? Doesn't make it right...but it does solve the immediate problem.

It is a 700 clone .

OP, have you tried talking to some like a supervisor or his boss or the owner? I was just checkin out there website, the warranty sounds like you should be covered. That is a very expensive rifle, I would try again

This is wild. I'd never heard of Fierce rifles before this year. Then I was introduced to them on this thread https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/fierce-firearms-disaster.293232/
Then today I saw one on Reddit (nothing derogatory in that thread, it was leaned up against a bison)
And now a thread on HW about their terrible CS!
Weird how things like this come in waves...
-
No excuses for bad customer service ! But the paint I understand - paint over carbon / fiberglass nowadays rubs off in a hurry. I have several rifles painted and dipped and where the stock rubs against my belt or pack rubs off in a short while - one day even, Not like the old urethane over wood. I've taken to putting protective camo duct tape over wear areas.
-
Sorry to hear about the PITA. I have a Fierce Fury that’s a few years old, no issues with the stock paint and it is a very good shooting rifle. I’ve never had to use the customer service

haha! I'd rather peel off my fingernails than frequent rokslide but someone sent me this same link the other day and boy oh boy! Pretty par for the course for the old CA *censored* bags.

Yeah, that thread is something else. I couldn't imagine spending that much money and getting a barrel that doesn't even have rifling.

Curious why your distaste for Rokslide?

That's interesting. I have heard nothing but good things about fierce and then all of a sudden there's some very troubling stuff all at once. I had a rifle all put together on their website too.

It’s a Sako 85 clone.

Pretty sure the early ones were a 700 clone , but I haven't looked at them in a few years . Wasn't impressed then , still not impressed. Alot better smith's out there for less $

I really like their YT video of the guy taking 4-5 shots at a bull elk and hitting it in the antler and finally hitting it in the rear end after having the magazine fall out. That made me laugh except I really felt bad for the animal. Then they sat around talking about how cool they were while the bull sat in the sun in AZ. Seems like a good company.

Do you have the link? If it is posted by fierce, I wouldn't have promoted my rifle by a knucklehead shooter. :chuckle: I just watched another video and the hunter had a live rifle and was running behind his guide with no muzzle control. Some of the video's make me cringe. 6-7 minute mark.....
Dangerous hunters....not sure it represents the rifle manufacturer but for sure scary stuff.
-
Well with Mogle and Troy boy at the helm what do you guys expect :chuckle: they've been horrible for the entirety of their careers going back to the CA days.

So if I'm not in the know....which apparently I'm not...your post is saying that Mogle and Troy boy used to work for Christiansen Arms and they sucked then and continue to suck while making fierce rifles? I'm I reading your post correctly....it is otherwise very cryptic for those who don't know these guys. I've owned one Christensen arms rifle and won't own another.....so I'm just trying to figure out if fierce is off the "to buy list".

oh yeah man. They were real train wrecks. I'm sure some of those old Christensen videos are on YouTube somewhere.

There ya go! Pretty good shooting! I especially like the part when he pulls the trigger and it goes click cause the magazine fell out! They are definitely not guys who handle well under pressure.

This is wild....Why do these guys promote their rifles with these kinds of videos. After a few google searches, it also appears troy may have been convicted of poaching about 10 years ago. Concretes the fact they are on the no go list.

Long time ago I bought one of their Christensen dvd's. Didn't know anything about them but they had big mule deer bucks on the cover so why not. One of the hunts they missed a buck like 20+ times at only a few hundred yards. Blamed the scope but at what point do you stop shooting :dunno:🤦♂️
The desperation to put out content and have kills on film in this day and age is cringe worthy to the max

Interesting bunch of chaos.... terrible muzzle control - then he says it was 150 yards through some brush... so he shot through brush but we knew we hit him and then they walked up and he was down - I counted two shots unless I missed something? terrible video footage as well.

same reasons as most all other SM. Tribalism, drama, hate, etc. Huntwa is it for me. Like any social media you need to take the good with the bad but huntwa's moderation keeps this place relatively drama free and pretty positive place :twocents:

I read the Rokslide thread and wow. :o Seemed to be more than a few rifles shipped out with major issues and little to no accountability. Kind of reminded me of a company that did great when one or two guys were hand building them and then grew to a big operation where you don't know what you are going to get. Get one built by Dude A and you're good to go. Get one built by Dude B and whoops, forgot to rifle the barrel or the receiver is cracked. Either way, you get a perfect test target. :chuckle:

Wow, I thought the other video was bad. repping their rifle miss after miss and then having the magazine fall out (might have wanted to edit that part out...) then taking a 670 yard shot with him shaking all over the place and the bull almost skylined? Just wow

I have an earlier one, a Fury. The Fury and Edge are Sako 85 clones. The Rival line is the 700 clone. The rifle the op speaks of, is an 85 clone. I’ve actually shot the exact rifle with the chipped stock, since the op is my uncle. It shoots great but it looks like it tumbled 1000ft down a shale slide.
