keep pushing, spread the word.

I'm not familiar with that group. Does this have any chance at all of resulting in Inslee appointing pro-hunting commissioners? It seems like the Dems always get their way in this state, no matter what the cause or circumstances are.

Join the WWC today and help the effort. www.w4wc.org. We can use all the help we can get to stop the King from killing our heritage.
-
I see my post was moved from virtual campfire which is totally up to the mods. But it would be nice to keep this post or the WWC posts up in the virtual campfire section for more views and support. Not sure how many people look at the portion of HW ?

Advocacy, Agencies, etc. is open to everyone viewing without opting in. Topics regarding the WDFW are usually posted here. It'll show up in unread posts for everyone until they open it. :dunno:

I think there must be settings somewhere for what a member sees on their homepage. I don't have an unread posts just recent topics which sometimes the less common threads don't show up in
-
It’s show unread posts since your last visit at the very top under your name.
-
This would definitely get more exposure in the Virtual Campfire.

Not to attack, but please explain how because I don't understand. Posts in Advocacy and posts in Virtual Campfire all show up equally in the unread posts link. Are you saying that more people ignore the link for Unread Posts and go right to Virtual Campfire? Then they'd be missing all of the hunting topics and guns and equipment topics.

I bet it would get more exposure because I dont think folks use that feature as much as we do. :twocents: Im guessing they just click into certain boards and "Advocacy" isnt one of them

Ha! 14 years on the site first time I've seen that

Thanks

Doesnt make the top 10 boards visited. Big Difference! I think this is also why we have to share this with every sportsmen we know.
-
No one trying to debate it just not the first place people go.
Just trying to help a organization get more views

Same here just trying to get it where people are going to see it. I use a phone app so I don’t get the unread post. If this is going to grow legs and run it needs all the help it can get

Any idea what the numbers are for "Show unread posts since last visit"?

We would have to ask some one with back end access. Not sure if any Mods have access to it or if that is a Bearpaw only question. Those numbers were under general statics in the advertising area

Thanks
👍
Happy to help out

totally with you. Unfortunately one member decided to take political shots at Jay Inslee and Covid followed up by another member hitting the report to moderator button about it not belonging in virtual campfire. Unfortunately you can’t keep everyone happy. Somebody is going to complain and technically this kind of stuff should be in advocacy or political board. I removed the Covid stuff so this would fit better in advocacy. :dunno:
-
Not gonna lie, if it's not on recent topics list on the right I'm probably not gonna see it :chuckle: :sry:
-
This thread was started showing an article about the lawsuit.
There is another thread in this same advocacy board that was started by wwc saying they were going to file a lawsuit. Between that thread and this thread constantly getting bumped should keep them in recent topics. Most of the bumping of this thread is why isn’t it in advocacy or why isn’t it in virtual campfire. The other thread is getting bumped with lawsuit discussion…..kind of.
Here is the original thread.
https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,276465.0.html
As long as they keep getting bumped they will stay on top of recent topics.

Ya that's my thought exactly. I don't think most guys use that, I think they just default to virtual campfire whenever they come on here. I know I do. Dale should be able to see which boards are frequented the most and I'd imagine virtual campfire is number 1?
-
I read the rest of the comments between mine and the one I responded to and my assumption has been answered. This is too important to be filed away to the "technically correct" board IMO. Should be in VC and getting bumped non-stop.
-
I hadn't seen this specific thread until tonight as I also usually just look through the list on the right >:( maybe I need to change my forum habits...
-
34 posts in this thread, 23 aren’t even about the lawsuit, those 23 are questioning why it’s not in the virtual campfire. The good news is those 23 comments kept this thread in the recent topics most of the day.
-
Cool, so the same 20 guys that access this site from their computers and not tapatalk on their phones like everyone else will be able to see it all day
Glad we're all trying to get the word out as much as possible. It's not like there's data to prove which boards are the best option for exposure
I wish the best of luck to those filing this suit.
-
You realize that you account for ten percent of the posts in this thread but have only complained that this thread is not in VC?
The entire you have been complaining here you have yet to participate in this thread here https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,276465.105.html
A thread with three times as many posts, the majority of the posts about the lawsuit, over 7,000 views that has been in the advocacy board the whole time but keeps getting pushed down the page because everyone keeps posting in a thread that only discusses the need for people to read a thread about not being in VC but never actually talking about the lawsuit. :bash:

I use Tapatalk, and I go straight into all topics not one board. So I see everything posted. I also use the computer which I use the most recent. Also if you all use Tapatalk you can tag a thread so you get alerts to recent comments. Especially if you commented in the thread.

How about we get back on the topic now? A common complaint about hunters is that they can't get out of their own way to unify with each other. Either talk about the suit or start another thread, please. :twocents:

If you want to read about and comment on the lawsuit check here at this thread
