Had this build finished before “the incident” on Saturday where I badly cut my hand with a big angle grinder… (long frustrating story!)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230313/1130ee29e878aab3150d019043d1214b.jpg)
SanMai blade, buck rake tine core, spring steel sides. Blued & polished. (Will be finish polished again before shipment - after my injury heals enough for me to safely operate the buffer again.)
(Pre-hydraulic press, all hand hammered.)
Moose Antler and Gemsbok grip, spaced with leather, nickle guard and brass pin.
12.5” overall. 6.5” cutting edge.
Vegetable tanned 14oz leather, hand laid, hand patterned, hand stitched sheath.
$250 delivered in the USA.

Thanks Fred! The 12 stitches region is satisfyingly itchy and has NO sign of infection, no colors, no swelling, nor oozing, so that’s very good. The tendon in the ring finger is very adamant that it not be disturbed, so that’s a little unsettling. Appointment with the orthopedic doctor on Thursday morning…
