Title: Tag #1 filled! UPDATE!! Tag #2 filled
Post by: buglebuster on April 01, 2023, 03:25:39 PM: Cold, wet, windy miserable morning in the blind! Not a sliver of turkey activity, rain stopped and we waited a bit then decided to head to town and grab lunch, checking out some feel free to hunt land on the way. Spotted 3 jakes and came up with a game plan. Stalked in and Payton made a perfect shot! 1 tag left and it’s reserved for a mature Tom. Post by: buglebuster on April 15, 2023, 08:30:54 AM: Opening morning general season 2023, Payton notched her 2nd tag on this nice gobbler 10 minutes after shooting hours! Roosted them last night, snuck in super early this morning and set the decoys and set back in the tree line a few yards. Hens started to come alive with the light and a single walked into the decoys. Shortly after 2 more flew down into the decoys, and Mr. Tom was right behind.
