Latest batch about to enter Pre-School!
Working through the call-back list, but several folks asking to be on the next list, so there will likely be some available.
Will make a new post after it all shakes down!

I don't need another dog but certainly look forward to the pics and stories.

I have a theory about eliminating the need for force-fetch/hold training during this puppy training phase… going to try it very seriously on the pups reserved for hunting or trials!

Quick plug - We took home one of RainShadow's pups last year an have been quite happy with him. He came home with the expectation of sitting and waiting for permission to eat and this transitioned great to waiting at the door to enter/exit and waiting on the training platform for the ok to retrieve. Steve also worked with the dogs early on acclimation to different noise/stimulus and so far there has been zero issue with fear of gunfire/loud noises. I worked him up from a distance then had him in the blind last winter and he did great. He just turned 1 year old and is retrieving the bumpers well in our sessions - hoping to have him bring ducks in this fall.

Here is another one from Rainshadow.

Thanks for the report, Chiwaucum! Really good to hear how the puppy training can be continued. Great Job!
If LISTENING and behaving properly is all they've ever experienced, then THAT'S NORMAL for them!
That's the whole puppy conditioning philosophy.

Dew claws came off - without a hitch - today!

(Yes, this is a current photo!)
It has been brought to my attention that some of my puppymail responses (from rainshadowlabradors.com )have been going to recipient’s Junk Mail boxes. I think it’s the emails sent from my phone.
Want to make sure people on “the list” know that it’s first-come-first-served now for the existing list members!
I’ve heard from almost all of you, all but 2 or 3, but I’ll check again tomorrow to make sure everyone who’s been waiting has had their chance, before I open up and remaining pups to reservation deposits.
Please contact me if you want to reserve a puppy!
Thanks!

Nice!
I wonder if he's from the same litter as our pup.
(Ours looks a whole lot like yours)
I have ONLY good things to say about our Rainshadow pup.
He's got to be the smartest dog I've ever been around, and he has an amazing disposition.

Another vote for Rainshadow pups! My grandson got a Rainshadow lab several months ago and it is the best behaved, most obedient dog I’ve ever been around, with a sweet spirit and quick bright intelligence. My two toddler great grandsons love it and are undoubtedly eroding the excellent training as they hug and wrestle the growing pup.
And FWIW, the dog chased off a coyote after grandsons’s chickens. The dog alerted my grandson that the coyote had come back so he grabbed a shogun and shot it, but it left no blood trail. He told the lab to find it and the pup trailed the coyote 60 yards into thick woods and sat up beside the dead critter.

Glad to hear that, Okanagan. Hadn't heard much about how that Penunsula pup was doing, didn't expect a coyote tracker!
Have heard from most of the list now, so I'll probably advertise the last remaining pups soon...

I think I've got all the response I'm going to get from the list...
A couple things:
1. ) Currently Available List:
1 Black Male,
1 Choc Female,
3 Choc Males.
2.) I'm going to change up the Immunization Schedule to 6 week and 10 week just before you take them. (I've been going off my 15 year old English Bully raising puppy schedule, and all the new research recommends this schedule.) Then the final will be at your Vet, since most of you establish with a new puppy vet anyway. (I'll give you records to show them.)
A current pic!

A RS pup, great dog!
