Title: Question for Guides?
Post by: bassquatch on April 21, 2023, 07:20:19 PM
Who do you use for business insurance and what would you say your annual premiums are?

I have $300k liability through State Farm currently for tournaments, but they do not offer business insurance.

Just trying to get everything lined out, thank you!

Anchor marine is who I use for my offshore charter business.  Give them a call for a quote.

You should have 1 million plus in an umbrella policy!

You should have 1 million plus in an umbrella policy!

I was once moored next to a brand-new 50' expedition trawler in Fisherman's Terminal.  A maritime lawyer had it commissioned and built.  As we chatted the standard boat neighbor chat, he asked me what my liability policy was.  Unusual question, and a little intimidating coming from a lawyer on a $2m yacht, but ok ..

I told him I had a $1m aggregate policy.  His quote, I'll never forget it -

"Two million is the new one million.  I can make anything go away with two million to work with."

PM sent on a great broker that is with Gallagher Charter Lakes. Fishing guides, boats and charters are their sweet spot.
