Title: Didn’t build it
Post by: Blacklab on May 08, 2023, 05:19:29 PM: Deciding on Building one or just buying one. Then I just said the hell with it I’ll buy this one. Giving it it’s initial burn off now they say an hour at 400. I’m gonna go a couple three maybe.

Post by: wadu1 on May 08, 2023, 05:40:38 PM: Had to look it up, watched a cool video on it. WOW 98lbs of pellets and the PID controller is a nice feature. One thing it did note the ash clean out tends to warp on the burn in. Do you sift your pellets to get the chips and dust out?

Just wish I could justify getting one. Just don't smoke in big batches, it's just the wife and me. So, it's one rack of ribs, half a chicken, sausage or during the holidays I'll do a hole turkey breast.

The Brunswick has more accurate temp settings available whereas mine is in 25 or 50 degree increments. The double doors seem nice too. Hopefully it's all in working order and the foot isn't too bad!

Friends came over this afternoon put it on back patio. They laughed till they realized how heavy it was. With an extra bag of pellets :chuckle: seems to be working like it should. Seasoning one more time with pam. After that i’ll be smokin like a train. Here a couple character marks :chuckle: Life is good :IBCOOL:

Post by: pickardjw on May 10, 2023, 03:19:37 PM: Bought mine used and unloaded it solo with a hand cart. Surprised I didn't end up in the ER, it was sketchy!! It's 154 lbs and The Brunswick is 200 lbs. Glad your foot isn't broken.
