Well it’s that time of season to start looking for some bucks and bulls. I’ll post my photos here from this year instead of thread after thread .
-
I’ve had tons of elk in and around my cams. They have destroyed one. I had 3 bucks this year I’m eager to see this year if they made it through winter. I’ve been running 3 cams so far and glassing and haven’t turned up anything what I’d consider to be a giant buck this year , but 2 are looking good. Today I get a pic sent to me and it’s one of the better ones and it’s dead. Likely a car . :'( I’m not sure if it’s the buck I watched last week or not.
-
Dang! Hate to see them go like that. Looking forward to following your thread for the year though
-
Couple bucks from last weekend, they sure don't mind getting close this time of year.
-
Heck ya!
Looking forward to your pics.
I'm being more lazy this year.
So I have to live through your pics till September.
Post them up as you can!
-
Like watching your trail cam posts.  Sucks that buck got whacked....it looks like it was gonna be a dandy.
Good luck this year on your quest to find a nice one.
-
I always look forward to your pictures, thanks for sharing with us!
-
Tagging along. You get some good pics!

This buck might be a buck I’ve watched for now will be 5 years. He’s about 9yrs old this year if it’s him.
-
At that age, have you seen him digress with his antlers??
-
When I first found him 5 years ago he was a 140” ish buck and has not really changed much over the years. Last year he was probably the heaviest he’s been , but 2 years ago he was a little taller. I’d say he’s gotten near 150” or so
-
I’m almost positive I know what buck this is from last year. He’s only 3 this year if it’s him and has allot of potential in a couple of years to be big.
-
Tagging. Hope your target bucks show up!
-
The 4 bucks I’m looking for this year
-
.
-
Of the 4 this is the only one I’ve found this year.
-
Nice pics as always.
Always nice to see a few that make it through the gauntlet of hunting season, then winter.
-
This buck could be really nice. Right side g2 is trying to split. Definitely a 5x5 at min as the beams are starting to split on ends
-
Caught these black bear meandering through today
-
Finally turned up a buck that I have watched the previous 2 years. This year he’s 5 yrs old. I had high hopes that this year he’d make that big jump to a really big buck , appears he won’t and may not even reach last years size.
-
This buck I’ve watched the previous 4 years, should be 9 this year. He may be going down hill this year.
-
Broke his antler
-
Future one to watch
-
.
-
Nice!
-
dang that last picture looks good! Looks like a honey hole
-
only 2 of those bucks are 5 plus. I have watched all these deer over the last 6 years in this spot. Far right buck is 5 this year and the far left heavy one is 9. Lotta up and comers and a few I am excited to see couple years later if they survive.
-
This buck in particular is one I’ll watch and hope he turns into a giant
-
.
-
That momma needs to do some eatin. Cool pic.
-
She will be good, feeding babies takes allot out of mommas.
-
Looking like he may exceed last year. Looks like some more mass.
-
Great pics as always.👍
-
.
-
Big boy!! Looking good!
-
Nice!
-
Big boy!! Looking good!
looking like the most mass hes had in all the years Ive watched him. Got a solid month to go on growth be intersting to see if he adds any tine length.
-
Solid buck!
-
This guy will be at min 6x5 with extra on brow being a 6x6. Making it harder to pass him lol :chuckle:
-
This one has me really excited for next year, he’s young and growing far more than I expected this year.
-
Made it into my Idaho cam that’s been out since last fall.
-
.
-
.
-
These guys are new to the area and appear to be young. Never seen a black one in this area. They could be dead if they run into big pack that calls this area home.
-
.
-
Very cool pictures, thanks for sharing

Not close to border and quite an adventure to just park (3 hours of really bad dirt roads)then hike 4 miles in.
-
Really cool bunch of pics.

im thinking that’s a whitetail. Could be wrong

Was thinking I could see a black-tip on the tail. Might have a whitetail face though!
-
It’s a mule deer. He was with another smaller one in other pics. Just we’re not good pics

Last pic was last years target and probably this year. He’s 9yrs old now
-
That’s a great buck, especially with all the history you have there. Hope you cross paths with him this season
-
He should be dead . I shot him last year . I shot low or he jumped and cut brisket
-
Awesome pics and great animals good luck this year!
-
He should be dead . I shot him last year . I shot low or he jumped and cut brisket
is he smaller or bigger than last year? 9 is getting up there in age

looking like he will be near what hes been the last several years. At 4.5 he had the same tine length just less mass. Been 140's to near 150 the last 4 years
-
Lean for an old one, thanks
-
Lean for an old one, thanks
might be the angle, but hes usually with 4-5 other bucks and 2 of those bucks are 5yr olds and he makes them look little. Noticeable body size difference when hes standing with them

One of the bucks I passed last year in hopes he’d make that jump to being real big. Not going to happen with him. Didn’t grow a g4 this year on one side. He’s a last week candidate now :chuckle:
-
Good bobcat
-
New buck with some potential. Got a little growing left on him it appears .
-
.
-
He will get the pass again this year. Grows a little each year, added G5’s this year .5yr old this year.
-
Old grandpa 5. Probably number 1 on the list again
-
Great bucks/pics. Awesome to have all the history with all the different deer you do
-
.
-
Man you got that area dialed in. Thanks for sharing huntnnw!

Your pics are always *censored* shane.. You draw any tags this year? Good luck bro

Used all my luck up last year. I have WA, ID elk , wife has MT deer and elk plus ID elk. I’ll be busy still
-
Public land
-
got a few good bucks on camera
-
few more
-
id have to say this is one of my favorite first photos of a buck to get on camera
-
Made it up to a cam today with a potential shooter. Still need some better pics. Lotta animals on cam in 8 days . 4K pics
-
Hopefully I’ll catch up to this bull.
-
.
-
Ole 1 horn
-
Lotta moose this year on the mountain. I know of 4 different cows with calves, plus 2 cows with no babies and 2 bulls. Somehow it seems to never translate to more moose on the mountain.
-
Wow, your camera is in a hot spot!
Nice buck and bull!
-
Great pics as always 👍
That elk and buck are pretty nice.
That moose missing a paddle is pretty crazy, never seen that before.

The most moose I’ve ever gotten cam this year . I can’t seem to get away from them. This girl and her friend slept at this cam for 8 hours

Whidbey island blacktail. He’s my mission this season.
-
Nice, you getting any other targets in mind or sticking with last year’s target buck?
-
looking like last years target buck will be it for at least September. I have a 4x5 that might score more than him, but hes 5 and could get bigger and the 5pt form last year is 9 so Ill target him. I had another possible shooter, but hes very random and I have no clue where hes calling home majority of the time
-

This pic is from two weeks ago when I was hunting on my 2nd deer tag. Had two bucks on camera and he is the biggest so far.

He's a keeper!

he gets a pass this year

Showing signs of old, bet that is his best set, thanks, great WT!!

hes only 5 this year

Must be watching another dandy!
-
Found a shooter
-
Found this buck last year and had high hopes this year he’d be alive and big. I made my way this early July to check cam and to glass the mountain he lives on. He was not on camera neither did I glass almost nothing up for deer, so I decided I’m not buying a deer tag if he’s not there( unit does not have many mule deer or easy to find) fast forward to this past Friday I make the the painfully slow 5 hour rough ride in and 2 hour hike and almost positive he’s alive .. :bash: I coulda bought a tag last week! Looking like I’ll be crossing fingers to pick up a return in September
-
Cool pic , look closely

Cool pic , look closely
Did you see it right off or did it take you a second. Because I probably would have missed that one!! :)
-
Same bull and buck in the night pic? Thanks
-
Cool pic , look closely
I see the bull to the right, but at 11 oclock from the bucks rump is that a cow moose head poking through the brush?
-
You can see it's antler in the pic before also. Just like 3 tines

I got quite a few pics with him in the sane pic, funny thing is he’s not bedded. There’s another wallow/hole there and it drops off about 4’ he’s standing in the water there
-
That mule deer is pretty nice.
Hope he is on the hit list.👍
-
Pretty sure it’s another muley, there were 2 in other pics

I no expert ,but that one at nite looks like a good one.

Unfortunately I don’t have a tag and chances of getting a return are slim! There’s 3 more return tag sales before I leave
-
Doesn’t seem to matter where I have cams this year I’m
Getting the most moose I’ve ever gotten on cams. I had 5-6 moose come by here in 40 days which is a lot for this spot and my history with it

I'm to the point where I hate them.
I'll see deer standing in the background.
When your waiting for a certain buck to show up on cam.
And then moose are standing there for days. It sucks.

Yeah ! They ruin deer spots

Kinda hoping I don’t see him as he could be hard to pass, I don’t think he’s reached his full potential yet. He did lose his g4 this year, was a 5x5 last year, but is bigger this year at 5.
-
The target buck .. 9 year old . Think he lost a little from last year
-
.
-
First cat of the year on cam, kinda of amazing that it took this long as we know of 4 in the area
-
Target buck for sept 1 has been a no show or very random. Spent the weekend glassing and found him coming out down below stand about 400 yards . Moved my cam yesterday and got him tonight on it. Plus a new buck I haven’t seen.

Careful, bunch of ID stuff there!!!

Is this last post on the hit list.
Looks like he might have some trash by the eye guard.
Or he was trying to grow a double.
Good looking buck.🤤👍
Hang my tag on it any day of the week.

He gets a pass

This guy is playing with fire day walking :chuckle:

All the hours scouting and cams I’ve never seen this guy.
-
Target buck was day walking until August 28 then poof. Has reappeared and may be moving to my 3rd stand tomorrow
-
Hard horns and velvet, great time of year!! Thanks
-
Some really incredible critters you have running around! Thanks for taking the time to share them with us
-
What is that hanging on the tree ?
-
Looks like a feeder.
-
a feeder that barely works :chuckle: been empty a month or so
-
One month soak on the cam and this is the only photo I got. Makes me wonder if this cat is scaring all the other critters.

Seems like that has happened the last few years. :dunno: Im guessing His handle (HUNTNNW) implies to newer members this is a thread for pics from the general area.

Well end of era of trying to kill the old 5 the last 4 years. He was 8/9 yrs old this year. Was taken the last evening of the season by the neighboring property owner.

Well thats a bummer.
Wasn't I the one that said you should kill em last year.
I'm sure you got something hidden under your hat. :chuckle:
Did you get to see him dead, you know put your hands on him for a minute.
That was probably tough if you did.
I've had a few deer not end up mine . I feel ya.

Sad to see all the fawn and calf pics and then the pack of big bad dogs and cats. Hopefully not in the same area. :bash:
