Be SURE to know the rules on the YTC and make sure you have AT LEAST one good spare tire.
You wouldn't be the first person to need 2 spares to get out.
I swear they sharpen some of those rocks with a laser.

Can anyone confirm, ATVs must be street legal, or can ORVs use on the roads? I was in there 20 years ago for a cow hunt, we were in my old pickup. Was kind of a PITA to check in and check out at the office. My boy pulled a youth cow tag for Alkali this Dec/Jan...so I'll be looking at old posts gathering info too! Mxracer, congrats on your tag!I have never seen any ATV or OTV out there, I am assuming they are not allowed. The check in process has changed since you were out and there is only one point of entry. Congrats on the draw for your kid - it's a challenging unit, but a fun one!

Same here. Never seen them out there. Pretty sure they’re not allowed. Maybe if they’re street legal. You have to show proof of insurance when you check in at range control. Got my rec permit today. No one there but my son and I.
must show :
1. driver license
2. insurance
3. title
All the docs showed at the bldg next to the main gate. Then docs shown at rec center while you read the rules. The video is out.
Then to police station for rife registrar. Not sure about Bow or muzzleloaders.
Took about 90 minutes for all.
We have anterless elk permits for Oct 14 thru Nov 03.
GET ALL YOUR PAPERWORK DONE EARLY.
