Be SURE to know the rules on the YTC and make sure you have AT LEAST one good spare tire.
You wouldn't be the first person to need 2 spares to get out.
I swear they sharpen some of those rocks with a laser.

Can anyone confirm, ATVs must be street legal, or can ORVs use on the roads? I was in there 20 years ago for a cow hunt, we were in my old pickup. Was kind of a PITA to check in and check out at the office. My boy pulled a youth cow tag for Alkali this Dec/Jan...so I'll be looking at old posts gathering info too! Mxracer, congrats on your tag!

I have never seen any ATV or OTV out there, I am assuming they are not allowed. The check in process has changed since you were out and there is only one point of entry. Congrats on the draw for your kid - it's a challenging unit, but a fun one!

I drew the alkali B cow tag. Are you allowed to access from the river or is it mandatory check in to be present at all?

Everything goes through the front gate now. No atv's.

Same here. Never seen them out there. Pretty sure they’re not allowed. Maybe if they’re street legal. You have to show proof of insurance when you check in at range control. I would call them to be certain.

As posted above NO ATVs must enter through main gate.Upon entering and leaving there will be a morning and evening vehicle search. No alcohol of any type and no weapons that have not been registered. Piss the MPs off and they will remove and ban you from the the training center.

buddy has the other tag Tyson, you’ll have fun out there!

last time I hunted there they had an archery only section.(It was close to the main gate.) We got drawn for modern cow. The orchard owners in Badger pocket have been complaining about drop damage for awhile. We will hunt along the northern edge and try and catch them coming up from private land in the AM.

No atv’s no wheeler’s only can enter from west main entrance off of I-82. I’m sure glad no ITV’s are allowed all they do is tear up the roads and make them rough as hell for the people that can’t afford a 20,000$ mountain toy.
