Is there an official pack map out there someplace. I saw one on facebook yesterday and they didnt have the first creek pack or Teanaway pack listed on it. I thought they had declared those packs some time ago.
-
I've seen one on the internet....I will try and find it. I know it had the NE packs.

Try this.

Notice the circle near sprague lake.

Oh Lordie, I see they havent changed in their accuracy, or transparancy, LOL
They could at least do us the common courtesy now that the deal is done to be accurate in publishing what they know, but why would I expect change after what 20 years of this garbage.
-
Who are they trying kid with that map. Some real D bags!

I dont know why it still amazes me the lack of honesty with the game dept but it just blows my mind how full of *censored* they are

It is insulting. The "single wolf territory" cracks me up.

:yeah:
The WDFW is unable to give a exact count of the number of wolves in the state, but the can count a single wolf. The circle isn't that far from Turnbull and within the range of a New pack.
-
Turnbull and Rock Lake area have had wolves for years they just don't talk about them. I saw a black wolf near Chapman Lake 2017.
Pre China Cold a Whitman Co farmer shot a wolf between St John and Colfax as I recall. I also remember reading in the Jokesman 2 years ago a wolf being shot in calfing pens near Lamont (which is the Sprague Circle) my guess. Either way they have been killing stuff in the Scabland/Palouse transition for years but the State just blessed up with their knowledge.

It would be interesting to do a foia or PRA request and get the real data
-
I remember looking at this map a couple years ago when trying to decide where to focus my time on the east side. There were gaps back then... there are no gaps any more. The one place that had a large gap now has a confirmed pack of at least 4 as of 2022... :bash: :bash: :bash:

Do you honestly think the information they would give you isn't a just a copy of what they want you to read. I'm sure it will be truthful, factual, and balanced.
-
Right, I have family who farm near Ritzville and they have seen wolves up to ten years back.

The dead sheep near Lamont probably prompted the Sprague circle, old news

After a brief search it looks like Fish and Wildlife is basically exempt from the PRA anyways.. of course
