One of my sons drew a Gardner Whitetail Buck tag.
I've hunted the area, and have some public land spots that hold Whitetails.
But I'm very aware of all of those whiteys hanging out on private property.
It looks like we'll be able to hunt 5-6 days.
If anyone knows of any landowners that might let my son on for a trespass fee, I'd appreciate making a contact.
Thanks,
Dan
P.S. I'd also accept any hints, GPS waypoint, secret hot spots, etc. :chuckle: :chuckle:

I'd contact early winter outfitters, Aaron has a lot of access and knowledge. He was talking about scaling back but worth a phone call. He may not be super responsive right now but I'd reach out.

This hunt can be a real challenge.
Most of the Whitetails are around the Twisp river road which is all private properties.
Unfortunately most of the properties are fairly small, so you would need a lot of permission from connecting
land owners (very tough).
My friend had that tag last year and we spend 4 days mid November to no avail.
We saw lots of Whiteys and surprisingly enough they were on public land between Frost Rd
and Elbow Coulee rd higher up than expected. However it had snowed about 24 -30 inches and it was tough to get close.
Most of the secondary roads were all closed.
Their is a piece of land off Hwy 20 on the way to Mazama which is a wildlife area that holds Whitetails, however lots of
recreation people are using it with dogs. I believe it's call Big Valley.
Great time to be over there!
Good luck.

I sure appreciate the advice, all!
