This is the first bear I killed back in 1998, over in the Methow during Modern rifle deer season. He was six miles back in up a major trailhead. This bear was close to the 300lb mark that everyone likes to throw out. Not to bad for my first bear, he adorns the walls of my house as a rug now. Should of half mounted him because of the white patch. Most of the patch was cut out when they did the rug. 6ft from nose to tail and a 19 3/8 inch skull, He had real long and thick hair except his belly.
