Does anyone have experience with the Triton 500 GPS?
Do I need to load in topo maps seperately?  :dunno:

yeah, the normal map they come with isn't topo... however there was a packaged deal from them with the topo software, and depending on when you bought yours

also look into
gmapmaker and tritonrmp (http://damiendebin.net/archives/gMapMaker/ and http://www.msh-tools.com/triton.html)

Thanks, I give these a try. This is a little higher tech, than my old magellan.

I'm pretty happy with the free topo map, had some issues with the download... if you do throw me a PM and I can share with you how I got around them.
