I’ll have to check all regs first of course, but this is more in humor at the moment.
I raised a doe and fawn all summer in my garden and flower beds. The doe disappeared over a month ago. I suspect another neighbor took advantage of the free meat. The fawn was far enough along to survive in my garden sanctuary. Last night we watched her from the couch devouring a bunch more of my flowers. Lol. She has damaged a bunch of stuff, but not too bad. Kinda cute having a pet deer around. Quieter than a dog and the crap ain’t as stinky.
Anyhow, I did threaten her out my back slider that she was going to end up in my freezer. She just smiled and kept eating.
Then right afterwards her and our cat had a game of grab ass. That was pretty funny to watch.

It is fun to have a couple deer around but they sure can eat alot of your good stuff

Bone, you should make a return with the stick and string to show us what your still capable of, but not on your pet deer. :chuckle:
I think anyone who has perused the old threads has noticed that you have been on an extended hiatus, and for good reason given the state of Mule deer in this state.

Even these are safe in my yard. Not so much the neighbors. Both have been murdered by neighbors. :hello:

Maybe it's a buck fawn. If you plant some really tasty treats you might have another photography subject close to home.

Currently bedded in the middle of my pumpkins, 30 feet from the back door, 25feet from :cue:
They have no idea the fine line they are living. :chuckle: Even out of practice the ole longbow could probably get it done.

I’ll get some pictures of “Steve”, mom got hit by a truck up north, he was a wobbler, still fresh as can be. My friend found him laying next to his dead mom in a ditch. Brought him home, almost dead, they called one of my relatives, she said to call the game Department, in the mean time they fed him goats milk, he slept with their Yellow lab and eventually ate dinner at the table, he loved Cheerios🤣 . They let him run and explore wherever, he was never kept in a pen etc. They would leave him outside only to find him sleeping in the doghouse in the mornings. He eventually died of old age, he only disappeared one fall, only to come back after Christmas. I think he was about 8-9 when he died. They found him in a gully one day. RIP Steve.

We planted fruit trees in the front yard. I said at the time, they will survive or not. Ten plus year later we are getting apples and pears. Deer are happy and so are we.

Deer that have fed on fruit are at the top for venison in taste, just saying :hello:

Don't shoot the baby makers. Thats a direct quote from Bone also and one I agree with.
