Good thing they had a spotlight to provide plenty of light for the pictures. Great bull and representation of what this state can provide.

That's a great bull. I'd like to hear the real story. I've seen natives kill huge bulls in the Blues during the rut with rifles. I could easily do the same, but I would be a poacher.

That’s a yakama reservation bull. Kamiakin wheeler called him in. He is as native as native gets. Hunts hard and respects what he hunts. Giant bull none the less

+1 Welcome to the forum Whitefoot400.  Thanks for joining here and sharing.  I hope you stick around. That's a huge bull. Nice job.  We would love to hear the story of how the hunt went as well.

As a couple prior comments reflected, it is frustrating to many of us that we have different(more restrictive) hunting/fishing opportunities and regulations because of our nationality and skin color. That being said, I'm thankful that there are at least some opportunities for all people still.   I know many people put tons of time and effort into their hunting regardless of what opportunities they are given.

I hope there is a great hunt story that led up to Whitefoot's bull, and I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Man that’s a big bull and congratulations. Don’t know who/where/when shot but given the title of the post, anyone know if was harvested on the Yakima Reservation and if not, what GMU is was harvested in? Don’t see too many that big👍

Edit: I somehow skipped the part of the original post where it said it was harvested on the Yakima reservation. My apologies, couldn’t quit looking at the antlers 🤣

Heard it was Colockum reserve. Watched them take a bull out of that general area last year the day before my wife's bull tag opened. I guess tho if I could hunt anywhere anytime without repercussions I'd do it too 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Title: Re: Native killed a Monster
Post by: Whitefoot400 on September 12, 2023, 09:55:25 PM
I wish I would of known ur wife had a tag I now that area really good I could of helped locate or point you in the right direction.  Did she end up harvesting?

I did point a guy in the right direction last year and he ended up killing a great bull with a bow. We became freinds and keep in contact. But I am willing to help any one with a tag out or at least give them some locations on onX .

But I am curious how u new it was me you watched take a bull out of the general area. If you have any questions I can answer them for u. No ill intent here

I just want to help other hunters accomplish there dreams. I have spent a lot of time over there and am willing to help call for them if they need it

Is there a law on (natives) calling for tag holders or anything like that? Was curious of that when I ran into one last year. I wasn't sure because I thought we could get in trouble assisting him or calling.  IDK.

No way man, that rich guy Dan Agnew uses guides in the Blue Mtns. Every auction tag he buys he has payed a bunch of people to herd a bull around and he just went out and shot it basically.

Agnew is just a trigger man. Nothing more. I’d wager that he would struggle to kill a wallowa lake campground deer solo without his cute little posse of unlicensed and under the table paid guides.

Okay enough thread jacking. Please continue.

Please do not muddy up Whitefoots400 Elk with Agnew....
Whitfoot400 shot a big bull elk in Yakima county and what I want to know is how did he pack that elk out!!!
That bull is very large and I guess each quarter was over 100 lb. Heck just the neck meat had to be 40 lb.
Congratulations on a great bull
Everyone would like to read about your hunt.

That’s a yakama reservation bull shot on the yakama reservation. Yes the natives can hunt off the reservation but this bull was shot on the reservation. Congrats Dustin and Kamiakin. Aaron is going to have a hard time topping that one
