So maybe you have seen this article and I've heard this from other hunters
https://www.gohunt.com/content/news/washington-state-hunting-is-under-attack-and-why-you-should-pay-attention
My question is where do I find the information that the commission wants to end bear and cougar hunting by 2024. Is there a document, or during a commission meeting (which are online and recorded) can I find this comment or directive? Is there something I can read or see about this?

They have stated it in a comission meeting and if I remember correctly it was Woody Meyers

All the meeting recordings are on the WDFW commission main page. You just have to follow the links. They are going to use the same type of tactics they used to cancel the spring bear hunt, to cancel bear and cougar hunting as early as April of 2024. They are going to claim that since there isn't enough "science" (that supports their agenda) to support bear and cougar hunting they simply won't renew the hunting opportunities with the new rules package that is coming.
We all know this is hogwashg. There are more than enough cougars and bears in Washington to have hunting seasons. Even more generous hunting seasons than we already have.
Send in comments to the commission or each individual commissioner.
