Any best guesses whether it will start on the 12th or 19th?
-
What is the second saturday in October in 24
-
Last year it started on the 15th, the 3rd Saturday.
*Edit* just checked the 2019 regs when the calendar looked the same and it started on the 12th. Good for the deer, rough for hunting.

Ya, the 12th seemed early bearcreek, but the 19th kind of late.
Oh, and thanks for the advice bone.

I'm not even gonna worry about it. Till the commission adopts a big game management plan. It's hard to say at this point,if seasons will change or stay the same.
It will usually say in the management plan what the general seasons will be for the next three years.

It's always the first Saturday after the 10th.
-
:yeah: I remember in 14 it was like 11-19th. Believe it was somewhat of a down year and then 2015 everyone and there mom shot a 4 point haha.

It will never open before the 10th, it will jump up to the next weekend when it gets there. Then start reverting backwards again………we’ll, never say never👍😆

With a bunch of DOO,DOOs running the wdfw it won't change! The only way is our vote.

I’m pretty sure it is the first Saturday after Columbus Day. So I’m guessing the 19th in 2024. I think it is a statue.

The old “standard “ used to be it always opened the last week or two in October, we always spent Halloween in hunting camp growing up, I never spent Halloween in my neighborhood. We would trick or treat around little Bellingham. The memories are awesome. I remember my dad telling stories of trick or treating back in his day around Little Bellingham, 1920,s and up. Over 100 folks there during that time with folks from game wardens, politicians and war heroes. I remember dad telling stories of going from bonfire to bonfire, he’d get back and empty his sack in grandma and grandpas old green wall tent. He had bullets, pocket knives, apples, carrots a deer hoof or two, sardine cans(full), oysters(the same), and on and on, he said he was so excited to find one, just one piece of candy!😆😆😆
Then the real hunting started, sometimes going to the 9 or so of November. Memories, yep I got a few.👍

I really liked back when they had an early season, the starting week or so and then closed it down for a week and started it back up for the last week or so. The deer where not spooked, many nice bucks where taken. We didn't go over for the first week.
bigmacc, did you go for the whole 5 weeks, we just did the last.
