Title: trying to find a general area
Post by: zackmioli on June 08, 2009, 08:38:45 AM
i am trying to find a decent area to go bear hunting in august. just trying to get any advice on a general area to go wander around in. the last couple weekends ive gone hiking but havent seen much bear sign. i was in the pack forest and just above greenwater. any bear info on those places? another place i was thinkin of going is the packwood area.

any push in any direction is helpful...i think.  :chuckle:

lots of hikers and people in the high country out of packwood that time of year. there are some bears, but unless you know where to go, you could spend the whole season up there and not see one. my advice is to find the food and watch it. they'll show up.

Hey pm Branden and he would be glad to let you in on a good area around Green Water. He shot one of his first bears up there.
