The parts shortage is no joke. Simple things like grease and motors are backed up 6 months or more and using an alternative manufacturer requires engineer analysis.

I was reading earlier this week that the inverters solar farms use are wearing out faster then they thought they would. The expected lifespan was 20-25 years but they are finding out it is more like 15. A lot of the companies that warrantied the inverters have gone out of business.

With the expansion of solar farms plus maintenance on solar farms already in existence, there is expected to be a supply crunch until production of inverters increases.
