Title: just about pissed myself.
Post by: jackelope on June 09, 2009, 11:34:45 AM: i just opened my email to find this email entitled "deer raffle ticket purchase" and didn't really take the time to think about timing...but anyway, i thought for sure it was the email telling me i pulled a raffle tag. it was not to be...

Richard Benjamin,

Raffle ticket purchase options have changed for the 2009 hunting year. Previously hunters would purchase an “Eastern Raffle Deer Ticket.” New this year, hunters must choose between a “Mule Deer Raffle Ticket”, and a “White-tailed Deer Raffle Ticket.” Unfortunately, due to a delay in the inactivation of last year’s “Eastern Raffle Deer Ticket” option within our licensing system, several hunters purchased a raffle ticket that did not distinguish the type of deer. Our records indicate you were one of those hunters.

Please respond to this email and indicate if you want a Mule Deer or White-tailed Deer raffle ticket, in exchange for your previously purchased Eastern Raffle deer ticket.

Some poor person on the other end would have had to explain this whole mess to me over a stream of profanity... :chuckle:

Post by: whacker1 on June 10, 2009, 11:28:49 AM: Yes, I got this same e-mail yesterday - and Pissing myself was at the top of my list, because my cousin was on the other line telling me the backdoor method was open for the drawing. So I was sitting down to log into the WDFW backdoor and saw this e-mail come in and I thought they did the drawing and the raffle on the same day.

Oh well, at least I know that they will have accurate information on the raffle and appreciate them making the clarification before the raffle instead of after the raffle.

Any unit open to a permit holder, for example, with the mule deer raffle tag you can hunt the desert unit.

Well the only thing I am in for is Sheep. I opened up my email this morning and there is a note from NM. Adrenaline rush. I opened it and they had chosen the time to tell me about their poaching hotline or some damn thing. My heart still hasn't beat right.

Post by: Woodchuck on June 11, 2009, 07:02:39 AM: if it helps pathfinder, it is easier than cutting the lines, just get the brake fluid out of the reservoir and add trans fluid or engine oil, that will kill the brakes and that way you dont ruin a good shirt :chuckle:
