Was in the Duvall area today, and as we drove by this field saw a decent looking buck and a couple does. Wanted to snap a photo of him but was towing a trailer so took just a bit to turn around and get back. As we pulled up to the field, just about had the camera on him and BOOM, looked back into the field and sure enough the buck was in the grass. Just wish I was watching when the shot was made.

Hmm, hope it was on the correct side of the road

Not familiar with the area/seasons. Is only one side open? It was VERY visible so guessing it was an open area.
Looks like it was in 407.

That’s like that Oregon elk video where the bull gets shot while some tourists are filming the herd.

I was photographing a ram on the Yakima. I was standing in the middle of the river, not something I liked to do with x amount of dollars worth of camera gear. It was a nice Ram though. Anyways, boom whop , a native Yakama whacked it. Made a good shot at least. I wasn’t impressed at the time, but I doubt they even knew I was there.

I was watching a buck through my spotting scope, long ways off. It had been raining, soaking rain. As I dialed up this buck, all of a sudden he just exploded, dust, blood hair, it was like slow motion just exploded in the lens. Then I heard the report of the rifle. Unknown to me, my dad was 100 yards away from the buck, put a sneak on him and I just happened to be witness to it a canyon or more away. Good memory!

What he meant was which side of 203 were you on? 407 is open until today. It’d be the west side of 203.

Ok, yea He was on the 407 side so thats good. Now if we were to discuss the safety factor of the shot. :yike: Pretty darn sketchy with not much for a backdrop other than lots of folks at a boat/launch/fishing spot. He may have had an ok backstop, but sure didnt look like it from our angle. :dunno:

Few years back during rifle season, we were watching the 304th and Highway 7 herd one evening in the big farm field. It was close to dusk and boom a rifle went off and a nice bull piled up. Watched the whole thing through my binos.

Yea thats what I was getting at, It's firearm restricted in that area from my memory so shotgun or muzzy shot? I assume it was on private land aswell which is awesome if it was on the up n up.. they were sure moving in the area this weekend, some sort of rut activity was going strong
