Title: Puyallup Elk Area 6014 Antlerless Tag
Post by: Browndawg on November 20, 2023, 08:52:50 PM
I drew this tag with my 4th choice by my own fault. I meant to put in for a different hunt thinking I wouldn't draw it anyway. But, here I am, with this mostly private property cow tag, wondering if it's worth buying a Kapowsin Tree Farm permit for $350? I don't like the idea of shooting an elk out of someones back 40. Not that I am against it, I just want more fun in the experience. If any locals have any tips for a guy, I'd appreciate it. Thank you in advance for all the replies. GO COUGS

I could be wrong but I do not think you can hunt the tree farm with that tag.

You would need to have a 6054 permit to hunt any of hancock land. 6014 looks like it’s out in farmlands in Enumclaw.

All the elk have been pushed onto private land. If you know those that own small blocks of land you’ll do fine if not it’s going to very hard to gain access. The Kapowsin permit is not going to help you with this tag. Good luck on the hunt.
