It’s easy you hunt all day get back to truck ,lean the gun up on gate or tree, wiggle out of your pack, get your gear in truck, jump in ,boom down the road you go.
I did it once years ago. Had a grouse gun in a pack. Got truck unlocked threw my rifle in,drove off without pack. It was still there when I came back.
Heck my grandson and I forgot a hunting partner one time. :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Did it with a bunch of fishing rods over $1000 in the dark. Went back, long drive, and they were still there. Good luck

Crap monkeys. Hope someone returns it.

Did they go back and look for it?
Hoping this turns into a ”got it back” thread.

yes they did like 15 minutes later

Call local law enforcement and WDFW and see if anyone turned it in. I hope whoever found it, did the right thing. No way someone looses a firearm and doesn't do everything to find it. Can't believe some folks would just think "finders keepers...." That's just wrong!!

My son and I have each other trained. The truck doesn't go in drive until a full inventory is taken...you have to physically put your hands on your firearm to confirm it is there (because of threads/stories like this). I really hope you get it back, I am sure you are sick to your stomach over it. Good Luck!!!
