Well, I caught it (him/her?) on one of my trail cameras again. Another, tail up, LARGE wolf on a favorite mule deer migration route-ridge.
What's more, the wolves sure like this ridge. This is the 2nd time since September I've confirmed (with certainty) that wolves have been on this ridge.
I wonder if this is one from the Napeequa or Maverick pack. Perhaps... some other named or unnamed pack.
I apologize for the poor image quality and brief view of this hideous creature! An instrument of the Devil if ever there was!

Yea bad enough the deer population has gone down hill so much especially with the population of cougars in the area. Then you throw in an increase in the wolf population and the deer herd doesn't really stand much of a chance. That one you caught on cam looks like he has been eating well. It really is no wonder I don't see any yearling tracks when tromping around there especially this year. This area is turning into the "Predator Pit" scenario for sure which is too bad. Thanks WDFW commission.
