What is the story with hunting the POS wolves in Idaho? OTC? Cost? Any info will help.
Thanks

There is going to be another court challenge before the first wolf is legally hunted. I'd be amazed if it happens this year.

Wolves have been delisted in Idaho and there is a management plan in place. Last time I looked at the Fish and Game website they don't have tags for sale yet. Machias may be right...time will tell.
-
Kinda both right, plan is in place but now it is stuck in court due to another environmentla lawsuit. Hopeing we have it this fall. Haven't heard from MOntana about it either.

Couple weeks ago on krem 2 news, they were talking about hunting wolves in montana and said it would cost $325 for non Res hunters. :dunno: I havent heard much about Idaho wolf hunting.
-
from everything i have read the state of idaho plans to sell unlimited tags over the counter and have a kill quota by zones along with a statewide quota, dont know what the prices are gonna be we just need to worry about whether or not well be able to get tags at all at this point

When they were going to do it last year it was pretty cheap.

As far as I know, the only thing required is a gun and a shovel!!! :dunno: :chuckle:

Idaho wolves have spoiled my Elk hunting the last couple of years. I would love for them to at least see a little pressure from hunters. I would also love to shoot one of those big *censored*s.

Its looking good....
The Commission
approved 2009 wolf hunting season dates during their March meeting, and they will set
the statewide and wolf zone harvest quotas in August before the fall hunting seasons.

I received a survey from Idaho asking if I was going to buy my out of state license this year. I reported back to them yes as soon as I see a wolf in the back of on top of or under someones hunting rig.

:chuckle: That should get their attention.
