Take this for what it's worth.
-
I'd like to see their evidence of "unsustainable population declines"

I think the fat lady just grabbed the mic. :bash:

The way it looks to me.

Ouch.....

Yipes… 🤦♂️

They don't care about Hunter's. Never have.
I know it's hard to get conservatives 100 percent on the same page but this should be the year of no purchase protest. 10-15 percent of the budget isn't much but it's s start.
Getting to the point people are just ok with table scraps.... just want to hunt. Family tradition etc...i get it... but something has to give.

Just a rumor but I did hear that for elk.

Eastside elk for sure and soon, deer won't be far behind. Just chip away in the name of "conservation"

Unsustainable cougar and bear populations my rear. It may well come to unsustainable ungulates population if predator population is not reduced. Just another tactic by antics. I can see predator population coming to a point of the non reporting of them being killed. Most assuredly nothing good for the hunters will come out of this.

more jerky for sale! But at least the yakamas can post their kills on here and get praise.

With uncontrolled wolves and cats, it probably won't last long unless they get to hunt farms and golf courses. In the lewis and Clark journals, not a lot of game, just predators, until they got to the ocean.

Society prevents us from taking action that would produce immediate results. :twocents:

Followed soon by "low deer and elk numbers so we need to have draws for all tags"
Then deer and elk numbers too low to hunt. THEN finally....the goal is achieved......
Take away guns cause we won’t need them....right? :twocents:

Not really sure what pressure is being put on the cougars, makes me think something is wrong with their science

Ironically, their wolf project and their lack of management of the wolves is probably putting more pressure on these predators than any hunting season. THey didnt seem to listen to the science when Spring bear came up, interesting thats a "hot saying now". As stated, its all a grab to stop hunting and likely to get your guns.
-
When spring bear was being discussed they said that the state carnivore biologist didn’t have enough data to provide population information. Now they are saying that populations are declining? That’s opposite what the state bio said but we didn’t have the info right? All of a sudden we have information on it? Where is it? Why was it not shared with the state? 50 “carnivore” biologists lol. Maybe we should hire a bio as was suggested by the commission to show that populations are growing unsustainably and need culled.
-
Wolves kill lots of black bears in Alaska. Had black bears being a pain around my cabin a few years back. When the wolves moved into the area the problem was solved.
-
WDFW is officially dead to me...
How and the heck can any game warden or employee of WDFW look at themselves in the mirror or live with themselves knowing they officially represent Washington's biggest Anti-Hunting group?

Absolutely!!!! These are all peices of the puzzle that make up the democrat/liberal agenda, bottom line will be gun ownership, mark my words. It’s why I keep harping on voting, be very careful about voting for folks with a D next to there name, their PARTY has agendas that will definitely affect you negatively if you hunt or own firearms.
Apparently all you have to do is write a letter(full of propaganda), send it to the state and “poof” things will happen……… as long as they come from anti gun, anti hunting liberal organizations. Maybe we as hunters just need to send a letter with back up from 50 old timers and scientists to claim cougars, wolves and bears are detrimental to our deer and elk hunting. I’m sure myself, bearpaw and bone will sign up to lend some support among many others. 😆
The tears of liberals always seem to catch all the attention. Heres just another example. Trust boots on the ground, trust those that have been around awhile with history. There’s no way in hell cougar and bear populations are suffering!!!!! NO WAY!!!! What a joke!!!!
-
The majority of the commission should find a cure for that rectal cranial inversion
Shameful
Our ungulate herds are being wiped out by predators and what do these fine educated wildlife lovers do ?
Protect predators
Again shameful

Lets not get the actual WDFW and the WDFW Commision mixed up... This is the commission behind this, the actual WDFW is behind us.. the biologist have basically told the commission the population is at or above desired levels.... the 9 person Commission won't listen.
We need to focus on the real enemy and that is 4-5 of Inslee's appointed minions.
-
Thank you, actionshooter
-
Maybe DFW brass and bios should speak out publicly then and make it known the commission has gone rouge, making decisions that go against true conservation and management goals.

As regular hunters what can we do to get these 4-5 appointed people out of office? The actions of the state (Inslee) are hurting the future for my boys (16,13) future hunting opportunities.

Slather them in bacon fat and leave them overnight up in the woods would help
Seriously
A lawsuit is needed

Lawsuits take money... and there are people doing things... help spread the word.

A question to ask is where did the data come from if you didn’t have it originally?

it’s appreciated
But hunters are 3% of the population in Wa
We need visibility at a national level

I agree.....however they won’t. There is such a fear put into WDFW staff. they will not stand up. In 24+ years being employed by WDFW and many “time to stand up and speak up” situations the tough talk quickly would stop and employees get right back in line sucking their thumb and holding the security blanket. The few that have stood up, including myself get there arises kicked. This agency is corrupt to its core. Many top brass protect the corruption. I always go back to the jab, the ones still employed had an opportunity to stand for something against their own body and caved. Hate to say it but, there is not much more important things to stand against. I’ll never forget one of the last big zoom mtgs. I was on, employees were standing up and handing management their arses over the jab. They were pissed. Well many had a stern talking to and the meetings mysteriously stopped. Not trying to relive history just using it as an example of how the chit show operates behind the scenes. This state is screwed.....officially.

Perhaps the wdfw have grown accustomed to the taste.

Exactly, where is this data really coming from. IMO, you can’t get more corrupt than what we have now as far as folks who we are supposed to look to for taking care of our “fish and game”. My opinion. My statement of “ we no longer have a Game Department “ is an understatement! We have a “group” who coddles the liberal agenda, they bow down to those who pump money into those officials who pull the strings. SHAMEFUL! I’m sorry for the rants. This is a joke , they know it is and they know we know it is. We are being railroaded. Period!
Once again, sorry, this is the beginning of the end of hunting in this state!
-
WDFW won't get much money from me next year if any.
-
Unbelievable. We need a new governor and commission asap. Sadly the voters of this state have their heads so far up their rear that they won't get it.

Now reading that pile of garbage really pisses me off!! G-damn liar’s!! All those anti hunt azz hats need a long drop w a short rope.
-
I notice that the petition has a draft revision for the WACs. If the commission passes that draft as is, that would be a blank check for outside entitys to think they can write WACs as they please.

It’s unreal how successful the left has been in this state :bash:
Sad to see

Yes it is. I hope Lorna and all her friends can stand tall and proud after they decimate our deer and elk herds. What an accomplishment it will be for our game commission to watch our once healthy herd numbers plummet just like they want them too. Their plan is falling right into place. What isn’t killed by bears, cougars and wolves will be poached when they take our general deer and elk tags away. All you Natives on here should be just as fired up about this crap and trying to stop it. Your take of non existent herds will be 0 just like us. You need to fight so your kids as well as ours have the opportunity to continue our heritage. We are all minorities in Washington now(apparently only 3% in washington hunt)and they are discriminating against us based on our ancestral hunting heritage. HLM Hunters Lives Matter. Maybe we need to take over some government buildings or burn some cars to get some support :dunno:

If I win the lottery, maybe I ought to invest 100 million in getting environmentalists to propose to shutdown recreational sport fishing in Washington.
The only way getting hunting seasons back is when the commission goes hard after recreational sport fishing so the elected liberals and voters can wake up and realize how important hunting and fishing really is to the western culture and economy. Guaranteed there would be a big fuss if they can’t break out their $1000 fly fishing setups and fish.

That's how it was when inslee shut down fishing and hunting for COVID. It got opened back up quick.

I have been trying to tell some hardcore fisherman that they are next.... remember 10-15 years ago when most people said they would never be able to take an AR15 away? People are so short-sighted they can't see would could be in just a few years.

Non consumption is just that. We are the low hanging fruit.

:yeah: Think before you vote folks. It all revolves around politics and agendas. Trust me.

I'm curious, of those who have commented thus far, how many have watched the commission meeting where this decision was made? How about read the petition further than the cover page?

If you read the antihinting petition and the one to to reinstate spring bear hunting, you can see why we are losing. Not to say if the antihunting permit was as poorly documented as the spring bear petition the Marxists wouldn't have accepted it anyhow. Our opponents are more populous, better funded, and amoral.

Followed soon by "low deer and elk numbers so we need to have draws for all tags"
its coming

Rulemaking is open for predator hunting. We should be lobbying HARD to increase season lengths, bag limits, methods, etc.. This can work in our favor if we actually work for it.

I agree we should lobby hard.
What makes you think logic or science will sway enough votes?
