I think we have narrowed it down to the Kawasaki Teryx 4 or the Yamaha Wolverine X4. Yamaha is definitely nicer and a little larger but also 4 to $6,000 more. I'm pretty sure I can fit the Kawasaki in the back of my truck also. The Yamaha would be pretty tight. Anybody own either of these two and have any reviews?
Years ago we were a part of the Pacific Northwest four wheel drive Association and a couple other Jeeping clubs. Do they have any clubs like that for Side by Sides? Been out of the game of off-roading for almost 15 years now and itching to get back into it.

When buying power sports the deals are on the ones they have had on the showroom floor the longest. Can’t remember all the verbiage on it, but basically the dealer is losing money the longer they sit there, once they get to a certain point they want them gone. So prior year models will be much cheaper than the new ones.
If it’s a popular model they only get so many of it’s hard to get deals on those. Spring is when they are stocking up for the summer sales.

Right now is a good time to buy, and be able to negotiate on price. Dealers finally have plenty of inventory. A few years ago there would hardly move on price because there was no inventory and there was another person in line right behind the next guy ready to buy. Great time to get a deal on a 23’ especially.

There are 2023's still floating around and 2024's are starting to show up more so definately a good time to buy. Not too many near me so may have to drive a ways to find one. The biggest limitation is the color. I do not like the baby blue version and that one seems to be the most available for the Wolverine.

A couple years ago we bought the Yamaha Rmax 2 seater from a dealer in Lewiston, ID. Similar price point to yours and they charged us $1,100 for freight and prep combined. It was added to the taxable amount. We were also charged an $80 fee for DOC/Admin / Tariff Surcharge. $3,200 for freight and prep seems pretty steep to me. That being said though, they are awesome machines and we've put lots of fun miles on it since then.

When I was talking to him about the destination fee being $1,800 he went on about how the ports are charging a bunch of money to import these and other nonsensical stuff. I did a little research today and it appears these machines are built in the United States with parts shipped from Japan.

So when I bought my Honda Pioneer 1000-3 LE. It was a 2018 they had on the floor for over the year. Bought February 2019. Negotiating start and this is how it went wanted roof, winch and windshield the LE already had a good package of other stuff. 2 helmets. They started running numbers and I looked at him and said I have 20K cash that is all I am paying. Tried to crunch some more numbers and told him nope 20k done deal they agreed. Started to go through the paper work and they were adding on the fees. I gave the paper work unsigned and told him 20K out the door. Figure it out or I am out of here. Took them another 20 minutes but it was 20K cash I paid out the door. Got to play tough sometimes or just get up and walk away. Yeah that's crazy. We bought ours when there were waiting lists to get any new machine, post covid. We put a deposit down and waited 6 months for it. Most dealers have more inventory now. It seems your dealer is still operating like there's nowhere else you can go. Maybe shop around and see if you can find a more reasonable dealer?

Got a Can-Am HD10 6 seater with AC/Heat electric windows 4 years ago - don’t need a tacoma or jeep or ram now. Just get it to camp and park the tow rig til seasons over!
My husband wants one of those so bad! He's been putting on the hard sell lately :chuckle:
