Title: LEUPOLD BX4 PRO GUIDE BINOCULARS ?
Post by: slowwalker on February 17, 2024, 09:59:34 PM
Hello, looking for input likes or dislikes from anyone who has or had Leupold BX4 PRO GUIDE Binoculars. I am interested in the 12x50'S. Thank you in advance.

I have the 10x42's.  Great glass for the price.  Compact and lightweight.  Leupold's warranty is 2nd to none.  I received mine as replacement for a 30 year old pair of binos I sent in for warranty.

I’ve had 2 of the 10x42’s, crisp image not quite as bright as some other similarly priced  binos. One item of note, lense coatings on my pairs were some of the easiest to scratch I’ve ever experienced. Had to really baby them, same with VX-5 scopes. Credit to Leupold, my second pair was a free replacement due to scratched ocular lenses. I have never experienced anything remotely similar with other quality optics or older Leupold products.

Bought a pair of 10x42s for the wife a few years ago. Great glass for the money. I tried several others in the same price range or a bit above, These were the best to me. Havent had the lense scratching issues, but they get babied.

I'm considering a pair of 12x50s for truck glasses.

Bought my grandson the 10x42's , not my Swarovski s but I thought they were above any vortex I've looked through, thought about getting another one just to leave in the truck all of the time

I use the 10x42, got em as a tip and they work ok. I personally like Vortex better then Leupold for budget bino's and if you're going with the 12x you might check out vortex first and see how they compare.
