No it just means their system can't handle the number of people all trying to login at the same time. They shouldn't have sent out the email notifications.

I fail to understand what the panic is about drawing this. If you are drawn your name is on the tag and you have until the 8/1/2024 to purchase the tag. Just take it easy and watch the show.
Purchase Multi-season deer or elk tag
If selected, you must purchase the corresponding tag prior to Aug. 1, 2024.
Multi-season deer tag: $139.10
Multi-season elk tag: $182.00

But if you purchase it within about the next 4 weeks you have the option of applying for special hunts for any weapon type, instead of only one, and for elk of course you can apply for both east and west hunts, instead of having to choose only one. So this does affect people's plans in the very near future.That is the only reason I apply for one. I can apply for Eastern archery, Western muzzleloader, and other combinations.

I only applied for deer and that's what mine says too. But I'm assuming that means I didn't draw.
If I go to Special Hunt wins, it says No hunt wins for 2024.

No sir, I haven't drawn in the secondary draw(s) and never been able to snag one of the OTC tags when that was a thing. Hopefully I draw one of the other 3 or 4 western states I'm still in for or maybe my 25 points will finally get me an OIL tag here. :chuckle:
In all seriousness, my kids are just starting to hunt with my daughter being 2 years in and my son hopefully finishing hunters ed soon. Maybe this just means I will get to spend more time with them instead of chasing elk all fall. Good luck to all you lucky sob's that drew! :tup:

I'm still patiently waiting for them to require the MS tag cost paid in full at time of application and non-refundable if drawn. If that group of guys in the NE corner can get the East/West deer tag petition in front of the commssion then we can surely get this one there. But I have no idea how to do that. I know most here are on board with this.That would be awesome. Along with $1,000 to apply for OIL tags that are refunded if not drawn, similar to what Idaho does for OIL tags.

I keep seeing this. It's simply not true. You could draw next year or wait ten and still not draw. Nothing is predictable in washington draws. The only sure thing is you have no chance in points options, and more chances than someone with less points than you.

Yup, just call them, if you don’t want the tag and it’s before the deadline to buy or deadline for special permits, you should get points back. The sooner the better.
this sounds about like our government... instead of having set rules that consistently apply there is a lot of gray area and "depends who you talk to"... haha
I had MS deer last year and got elk this year with 4 points. I'll buy the elk tag so I can apply for some special hunts I otherwise wouldn't with my usual ML tag. I don't usually apply for deer permits so I'll just sit on the MS deer option. Have until end of July to purchase which gives me some time and flexibility to make my fall plans - I'll eat a point for that.
