Title: East side Archery elk
Post by: gee_unit360 on April 26, 2024, 01:21:38 PM
Considering hunting the east side for elk this year. How crowded are the Yakima and Colockum units during archery? Can’t be anywhere close to modern obviously. How does it compare to muzzleloader season?

Muzzy feels busier than archery.  More camps, more road hunters etc.    How much of that is impacted by people just out looking for elk, not sure.

Depending on unit. I hunted early archery only saw 2 other camps brother in law hunted same unit for muzzle lots of hunters. Sense both hunts are spike only I thank people are just playing the odds

Hop on the wdfw website and look at the hunt reports for the units you’re considering, it will give you a pretty good feel for the pressure  by hunt type
