Here is a post from the brant foundation. Last year  I personally had  a chance to see the call Ben carved for Marty Hanson, and got to try out Ben's call. Ben is a 3rd generation call maker and his single Reed calls blow as easy as any double Reed I've ever used. Butter smooth and beautiful. I can bet this call will fetch a chunk of change. I wish I had the wad of cash to bid on this bad boy. If you want to see some mind blowing carving he is on Facebook.
We commissioned Benjamin H. Tyler III to carve a duck call for our auction this year. It Is an open water call carved out of Mississippi Black Walnut  and the white inlay is Idaho deer antler. If you want to bid on this item the evening of May 18th contact us.

This was a cool event. I love looking at all the carved decoys. The call  sounded as beautiful as it looked.  I'm gonna have to try my had at carving a few gunner decoys at some point.
