Title: I drew EA Grande Ronde any elk.
Post by: JKEEN33 on June 12, 2024, 05:22:58 PM: I’ve hunted 186 quite a bit for birds, but would like to hear any info anyone has. I know it’s not as good as it use to be, but I’m excited to get the opportunity.

Anyone know of a guide in the area? This is my second bull tag in 30 years. I’d like to fill one before I can’t get out any longer. Would consider a guide if there is one in the area.

Rumor has it that the unit holds giant bulls.... Although I have heard access is difficult. Looks STEEP. Best of luck to you :tup:

Post by: huntnnw on June 12, 2024, 09:15:40 PM: Tried finding someone with a tag several years ago to kill him. 2 years in a row in same spot. See bulls everytime in. It’s extremely steep and would be a m-fer to get a bull out in a few places.

I know a guy who killed a 360’s bull a few years ago

Did not fill the archery tag. Spike opportunity on a daily basis and a 1x2. Never did see a bull. Had a great time.

Would love some hunt details, were you spiking out? Did you see elk sign? Private land permission?
