Title: west klickitat
Post by: Bearrunner96 on June 14, 2024, 10:32:22 AM
My brother and i got drawn for the west klickitat muzzleloader buck tag Dec 1st - 8th. We have hunted the unit quite a bit but never this late in the year. I was curious what others experience was with deer activity this time of the year

I drew the modern rifle tag for November. I’ll give you a report of what I saw when I’m down there!

I put in for that tag every year when I have a multi season tag. Havnt drawn it yet but should be a great hunt if you can find animals. If it’s cold and nasty deer should be out about all day feeding in December . Plus it mixes with the muzzy elk season if I’m not mistaken.

I had the tag several years ago after 2’+ of snow several days before the season which made for tough hunting. I concentrated on south end of the unit where there was less snow. South some good bucks in the Snowden area. The hunt is weather dependent.

I drew the quality rifle tag this year.
