Title: Peaches Ridge Archery
Post by: Grind86 on June 23, 2024, 10:32:49 PM
Long time reader, first time poster. I drew the peaches tag this year. Feeling overwhelmed and incredibly fortunate. That said, I have a jam packed summer so my scouting time is going to be limited even though I live right here in Cle Elum. Was hoping anyone who recently has drawn that tag could share anything about their experience that may help my odds. Primarily information about the Norse Peak wilderness. I have a couple weekends set aside to get down in there in August but any information or tips anyone would be willing to share is much appreciated. I did already arrange to have the entire hunt off from work. Thanks in advance and happy hunting.

Been a minute since I had my tag in there. If you find bulls in the summer they will move in the middle of august to find the cows. So I wouldn’t necessarily focus in on the bulls for summer scouting yes good to know what’s there but don’t stop with them, I made that mistake and thought I was a screwed pooch when season started. Find a herd of cows close to your bulls and stick on them. If you know where bulls have gone to rut in the past they will go back. I hunted bald mountain area if you want some info on that area send me a pm.

Not sure why your pm didn’t come throw on here but saw it in my email and responded so hopefully you get mine. If you don’t see it reach back out and I’ll give you my phone number.

To those I’ve talked to, thanks a lot. Think you had some answers I was looking for. Biggest question was, do I go deep and dive into hell? Or don’t make it any harder than it really needs to be. Really appreciate the time. Good luck this season

I got it too! If you are interested in talking let me know.  We could team up or just clarify the general areas we are both looking at so we aren't working against each other.

I can get you to cows, but if your tag is bull only,it may be possible to bring one in....

As hot as it's been this year...those bulls are up in elevation...I would scout around Huckleberry, and even up toward Ravens Roost..it's still nice and cool up there,at nite....
